    Morning all.

Oooh Dove, your lobster meal sounds scrummy!

Lyn, when I did a Cordon Bleu cookery course years ago I was taught to kill a lobster first before putting it in the boiling water. There is a little cross on the back of the head which you pierce very quickly using a sharp knife and a hammer. The lobster is killed instantly as that's where it's brain is.

Had a busy day yesterday so haven't been back since the morning. Saw Son No. 2 and 2 baby grandsons, then visited a friend who had been in hospital. Strictly results in the evening followed by Monty's Secret English gardens.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Good day forkers image

Mild and windy again in Flanders but I have a headache and continuing vertigo so I ain't moving from the settee.  Except to make her lunch any minute.

Hope all are wellish (I like that word, GWRS, and will use it ad nauseam) and enjoting their day.

  • Steve - have you caught the sinusy lurgy I had last week? image

No, Dove; it's not a cold.  I feel dizzy/woozy much of the time, especially when I move, and especially especially when I bend down and get up again.  It may be high blood pressure (for which I'm on pills) or low blood pressure (they're working too well?) or something wrong with my inner ear (which my mum's had).

Whatever it is, it gives me a good excuse to sit here all day and annoy you lot instead of gardening or plastering.

Or maybe I should have a go at the i***ing while OH is at work....

Glad you enjoyed that Snow - you need the broad Glesgae accent to get the full benefit image

So many colds and lurgies around - older fairylet is manky with it  image

I ordered another knee brace yesterday - for the other knee which is heading the way of the left one.  I had to laugh at the email I received, with suggestions of some other items I might like to go with it.  Gel insoles - fine. Fleece insoles - also fine. Insulated insoles - great. Then this:

Steve - I had that when I was pregnant, because of low blood pressure. You're not are you? image

Afternoon all,  feeling very miserable today for no good reason.  Not going out in the garden weather too yucky.

Chicky, yes it's a 12 days of christmas cross stitch.  Did get some done yesterday, but don't think I have enough time to complete by December.  In the new year I'm going to have a go at a quilt for future grandson so really want to get it finished before the new project takes over.

Hope everyone has a good day.
