Good morning all image  Got my walk in just before the heavens opened - Mr Reynard was about - I could smell where he'd been, and just as I got home I heard a fox's bark.  It's that's time of year when they're into making 'friends' with each other image

Forecast says it may be brighter later - that would be good, I noticed yesterday that the violas are badly in need of a dead-heading session.

Good morning all. Very wet and breezy, and distinctly colder here.

Don't know what I'm going to be doing today but it won't be in the garden.

    Keep safe everyone!

Just a word of advice - if you've not put your socks on yet be very very careful!!

Very happy to see my late garlic is starting to peek through the soil and the onions I thought would be too soft and old to grow are (all bar two) coming on nicely. Its so uplifting to see life appearing after so many wet and grey weeks.

Clari - did you pull your back while putting your socks on??? ((hugs))

I thought with my back so painful sitting on the bed would be advisable to cover my dainty hoofs. My socks had other ideas and somehow wedged themself under my foot so when I raised the other leg and tugged the sock I...

    ... fell off the bed.

    Its all the socks fault!!

I had to laugh, Clari, the way you put it, although it's really more painful than funny.

Panda, I hope the week is improving as it progresses.

I was actually up earlier than usual as farrier came and my mare needed some cleaning up before he started. I think horses enjoy mud. But wearing a blanket helps keep them clean as well as warm and dry.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Keeps the horses clean, but the blankets don't half get muddy!!!

  • Morning all, bit late I know. Woke up in the night with a splitting headache,  so came down stairs for awhile and went back to bed about 4. Woke again about 9. Still have a slight headache but no where near as bad as earlier. Thank goodness there's no work today.

Panda hope your ok, nearly the weekend.

Clari sorry to hear about your back, but you did make me smile, naughty socks!

Well at least its not raining today (well at the mo)  but I think apart from just a little tidy up i'm going to have a lazy day, not feeling right at all.

Hope every body else ok and has a good day, see you later take care.image
