Pink iced bun for me please Stacey.image

Winter song - arch sounds lovely. That's the best bit about gardening for me. Discovering there is space for more plants!!

Chicky - raised bed looks great.

We have been having a bit of a tidy up in the GH and have planted all the toms in their pots. Raised shady bed at the back of garden partly planted. I discovered I haven't bought enough plants. Always a good problem to have!!

Yes, I will have a bun please.

Lovely day again today, plants actually seem to be growing whilst you look at them. Starting to move more seedlings from inside to greenhouse, as I plant stuff out.

It was great to have OHs help today, although she did give up at lunchtime, which was a shame, as I had hoped she would dig up all the Beech seedlings in the woodland.

Have a lovely evening everyone, I am about to open a bottle of nice Chianti, shame I dont have any liver to go with it!

    Evening everyone image

Firstly, Dove you are not alone image I will not be replying to some muppet spamming me, I will deal with the horsetail in my own way image

Looks like everyone has had a lovely weekend and bank holiday today, I have been busy in the garden today, my lovely over the road neighbour gave me some plants.  One of them is the Euphorbia I like but that spreads a lot and I have to wear gloves with, the others I'm not sure of so may post pics.

My other Gladis are just below the surface, had a little peak while weeding image I have given them a good water as the soil was very dry and I think the hedge may be stopping the bit of rain we have had getting to them.

My neighbour said that all my plants in the GH look lovely and very healthy, healthier than hers (her words!), I was made up as she has been gardening for years image

Lovely to hear from you Stacey and glad you are well.  I sent a PM ages ago when I was worried about you but don't worry about not being able to reply, I know you're ok now.  Chillies are doing well although they seemed to have stopped growing??

I did sleep better last night but the neighbour on the other side started hammering and drilling at just before 7, so no lie in!! image

Think that's about all for now image

lovely to read lots of happy posts today.

Lily, err what was it I wanted to say to you?

Wintersong, glad you are pleased with your arch, have you got your climbers yet?

Oh yes, lily, that was it, arch envy, you'd be surprised just where you can fit one ( or 3)! My no 1 is in the main part of the garden and I have put some pics on here somewhere. Arches 2&3 are down by the play area where its always a tip and so no photos done as yet. might tidy up tomorrow. Will have to paint/stain that. Arch 1 is dark brown (ugh) to match the decking so the majority vote is to do the others the same (double ugh).

oh and another thing... Echinaceas do not die, they are not difficult to grow or propagate, mine have all been so successful, you just have to realise almost all varieties will metamophosise into weeds, once that is accepted all is good again.

Hey Orchid, just get your little man on them drums again, sounds like you have some very inconsiderate neighbours who only think about them selves! image
