Yviestevie. I thought you might like to see the advent calendar I made for my grandsons a few years ago. I actually made two. A marathon task, but loved every minute of it. I must make a point of reminding my late daughter's husband (no. 1 daughter) to get the one out before 1 December for my grandson who is now 11 years old. The other grandson is 16 so he might feel a bit past it. His mother (no. 2 daughter) usually buys a special leggo that takes 24 days to get all the pieces so that on the last day, he has the whole set.
Hot morning today, but is clouding over now (1.45pm) and maybe the prediction of afternoon rain might come true. Prediction for tomorrow is 34. Yuk! Sorry Hosta.
Hubby is busy cutting grass in all the paddocks around the house area firstly with the ride on mower and now the wilder areas on the tractor with the slasher on the back. Never ending tasks in fire season.
Wet, mild and calm outside - just heard a fox bark over in the spinney. Did someone say we've got strong winds coming? Hope it's all over before Friday - that's when the Tree Man Cometh!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all, and Dove and Pat. I'm up earlier than usual as I have a meeting to go to, French so it'll take ages. It'll be rush hour on the way into town
I want to buy compost on the way home but I expect the GC will be shut for lunch.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Forgot to attach the photo - old age is still getting to me.
