Steve - Pa was from a long line of farmers, his grandfather used to breed champion Lincoln Longwools. In my previous existence I bred Southdowns. I also had a small herd of dairy goats, mainly pedigree Golden Guernseys
So yes, I've used that skill on many an occasion, but not with my Social Services hat on - however it's amazing how dropping it into the conversation can make a chap's eyes water and get him to focus on the matter in hand so to speak!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
What a wonderful view Fairy. Lifts the spirits doesn't it
had my snooze .....glad to know it was good for me Steve309. Now about to pour a glass of SB - which is less so......but feel I deserve it. Waiting for the forecast downpours to arrive ....and thinking of Chicklet in her tent.....or more accurately thinking of my poor washing machine
Is she away for quite a while chicky? Mine have never wanted to go to festivals - thankfully! My niece went to T in the Park a few times. Makes me itch just thinking about it
I had some great views today - always a bonus
That poor beetle was struggling to make his way up that bit of carex and he kept sliding back down to the end. Poor soul. He was quite a plump little chap though
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Went on Friday, back tomorrow .....plenty of time to generate muddy laundry
. Expect your plump beetle is asleep happily somewhere now
He fell on his back at one point - beautiful purple colour underneath! I love finding something tiny in those vast moorland landscapes
Make sure she does it herself - it'll be good practice for Uni chicky. Working the machine is a vital life skill after all
