    I had ripe strawberries last week, but they tasted foul.

    I've got an oriental poppy and waterlillies still in flower.

    I've had delphiniums and foxgloves in flower together before - but never in mid November image

    Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    I did offer. And still will.

    I have never had lobster,  can t bear the thought of them being dropped into boiling water to kill them.

    Clari - I still have strawbs flowering, and Jap anems, and clematis. We're a month later than the south anyway though, and the strawb's an everbearing one. Had a strawb or two to eat a couple of weeks ago. Mine were nice though Hosta - surprisingly  image

    Never stopped raining all day here. I've done all the ironing, so feeling smug. Does that constitute exercise, and have I earned a piece of cake? image

    Fairy: if your ironing pile was any where near as big as mine (did it yesterday evening) you deserve the whole whipped cream and sprinkles!

    Don't think they do that now Lyn - think they either use electric stunners or put them in the freezer so they lose consciousness first before cooking.


    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
