We've just come back from the New York Met Opera - at Périgueux Cinema, live. Saw Turandot, magnificent, but the beautiful princess was rather ugly and old, lovely voice though. They used the costumes and props from an old Franco Zeffirelli production. Tickets were my birthday (Sept) pressie from Son No 2.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning, evening all. I'm feeling marginally better this morning, but a bit scared to sound too confident in case I Jonah myself.
we got rudely woken at 4.30am by a loud bang and then an earth tremor. It certainly kept us awake for a while. We've had a few phone calls this morning from local friends to ask if we felt it as well. Oh well, it gives them something else to talk about instead of gossiping about each other.
weve had very large lightning and thunder storms over the last couple of nights with lots of rain, so we're pleased about that. Saves watering gardens.
