There were advantages to being a gamekeeper when it came to sourcing different types of meat etc to try. Being male i made burgers for the barbi in most cases. image

Sadly Dove we didn't have time. Spent from opening time till 3pm. in the garden, and then with a long drive back to Sheffield, thought we should leave.

Bushman. Yes I can just picture the Perth kids being fascinated by snow.  We had the same experience with our three. They were all born in Darwin, Northern Territory, and we only moved to Canberra after cyclone Tracy (1975), and we took them up to the hills to see and play in snow. They were 11, 9, and 1 year olds then and I'm reminded every time I see the photos.image

  • Morning all,

Actually got out into the garden and got some work done yesterday so feeling a little less guilty today. image

My 'hedge man' has gone back to the UK for his holidays for a few months so I am trying to find another contact - image just when OH was in a good enough mood to say yes.

Going to a Gardening Club Pizza Party tonight in a member's garden, she has a proper pizza oven in the garden so looking forward to that. Taking a chocolate feather iced tray bake with me as our contribution. image

If Jo cracks on with the decorating she might be finished in time to come with us. image

Good day to all and special hug for Dove & Ma - not easy, been there done that, causes very mixed emotions.

    Morning all.

    Hugs for Dove.

At 52 I'm at an age where so many of my friends are having parent "issues" dementia being one of them. In a warm, loving way, it makes me glad we've both lost our parents.

Off to Doc this morning . Still no word of an appointment with the Ortho team and now my hip is playing up due to weight shifting.

I had my right hip re-sculpted( periacetabular osteotomy)10 years ago and the consultant said the left side would need done one day.

Reduced to shuffling along saying " you'll have to slow down, I can't keep up )

Hey ho, plenty worse off than me.

    Morning all!

You have all been chatty this morning! image

Glad you enjoyed Great Dixter Pdoc, just watched a program on the history of the place and absolutely loved it!

Travel safely to G'ma's Dove, send her my love please, found a load of letters and cards from Gramps and Pamps yesterday whilst having a clear out, it appears I was a bit of a plant pusher, always buying them pots of bulbs etc! image

Got Papa Womble over today, gonna try and hoodwink him into another trip to the tip! image had another burning in the fire pit last night......each day a filtering of what's staying and what's going gets filtered again! Getting ruthless now! Itching to get moved in and trying to redesign the kitchen layout in my head image

Hope everyone has a good day image
