No, Fairy, she's all electic. Hoping a neighbour has a gas oven and will let her cook it tonight. Thanks for the cookie, I'll share the cookies with Verdun, i'll have the angel
Thank you all for all your help and advice over the past few months. I really feel that i've made some new friends. Hope you all have a very happy xmas and my very best wishes to you all
Hope that Santa brings you joy and something nice in your stocking
I don't think you can say thank you enough, so, thanks again for all your support, kind thoughts and gardening tips. I'm learning loads every day, and my life is better for you all being in it (soppy I know, but hey!)
Couldn't resist a quick sneaky peak at the forkers thread
Everything now done, feet up with glass of white in candle lit room. Both Dads snoozing on the sofa, OH winding the chicklets up ( in a good way). No damage here from the storms - few branches down, but they didn't fall on anything.
so, once again, a very merry christmas to you all
(PS can't remember who asked, but i always peel my spuds, sprouts and swede on Christmas Eve, and leave them in a cold room covered in water - means there is nothing to do but cook them on the big day)
PPS hope the rain held off for Archie's outside Christmas Eve party - it sounded so good we are planning our own on NYeve!!
Well presents are wrapped at last, dinner is eaten, i cooked a prawn and salmon rissotto, one of the OHs favourites.
We are of to SIL tomorrow. She has hasd a hard time recently as her son was knocked down in a hit and run 6 weeks ago. Although his physical injuries are healing, unfortunately his head isnt. So tomorrow will be sad, but hopefully we will have some laughs too.
I wish all of my friends on here a fantastic time with your families and hope you all get the presents you want. Then back into our gardens.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Decided to get up as I'm wide awake. Been deaming silly things, niece has put trifle in the oven saying you must cook trifle, I've forgotten to take the meat, all this happening on a mountain top cottage which has a very narrow path to it with a sheer drop to below. Too many chocs last night ?
Hope all goes to plan in kitchens and have a lovely day everyone.
