Good morning all image  Just been reading back and catching up with everyone - some Forkers visiting other gardens, some acquiring more plants,  some visiting supermarkets, and some staying up late and visiting Boybands!!!  I stayed in and fell asleep on the sofa image

Today it's overcast but dry (so far).  The plan is, after Dippy Egg and Toastie Soldiers we'll go to the Farm Shop where Bhaji Man is giving a demonstration http://recipeinabox.bhajiman.co.uk/curry-kit-recipes.html - then we're going to an ancient woodland to walk amongst bluebells -  the Met Office forecast says

"..........After a rather cloudy start, some bright or sunny intervals will develop during the day. However, rain or showers in the south at first will develop elsewhere by mid afternoon, and may be heavy and thundery in places. Maximum Temperature 15 °C."

Hopefully we'll time it right for the sunny intervals image

    Good morning Verdun -

Hi............. Nice few lemons on my lemon tree......tasty too.  image

    I'll bring my gin image

I'm going to sow some wax beans Buerre de Roquencourt this week - then I'll direct sow the runners a bit later.

I've been sitting here this morning trying to think of a reason not to get a Prunus mume 'Beni-chidori' for the front garden, and I haven't been able to think of a single one ........ and what is more, now OH is awake, he says he likes the look of them ..... oh dear, I suppose we'll have to get one image

Morning all, dry but overcast here at the mo. Hopefully we won't get the rain we've had the last couple of days.

Go on Dove, you know you 'need' one image

Verdun, happy shopping at the gc!

Off out today to see friends, so no cooking day today image

OL, tumbling toms for outside too, but we have another type, can't remember name at mo, for growing in the potting shed.

Chicky hope you and chicklet had a safe journey home, and she enjoyed boyband

Have a lovely everybody see you later peeps image

OH is snoring away happily here. I keep tapping my mug on the bedside table but he's not getting the hint.

One of my tomato plants is in bud!  Wasn't expecting to see that yesterday. I chanced a couple on an early sowing and (this year at least) it seems to be working out okay - I still keep expecting to wake up to a foot of snow.  I've just planted my last batch of tomato seeds - hoping its not too late / that we'll have a good summer / autumn for them to put on a fine display. At least come August I might have electric point running by the greenhouse to get some heat in there if needed.

Strange as it seems while I'm enjoying watching my chillies and toms grow; I get a little sad watching my onions and garlic getting ever bigger as it just reminds me of how quickly the year is going!! image

Morning all - just reading the posts from last night. I'm like you Dove - fell asleep on sofa after watching lovely Rolando image

It would be wrong not to get  the Prunus - you can never have too many of them....imageimage

Strangely, I've been wondering about one for the front garden too but too many other things are a priority. Another cup of tea and a look round the forum now.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Good Morning.

Lots of activity here last night. Lovely pics and exciting events. I ate curry, had a couple of sherbets and fell asleep.

Think I had my silly head on yesterday in more ways than one. Fidget, the bulbs I have are Astrantia Major, why I thought I had whatever it was (on previous page) I dunno. Not even a vaguely similar name image KEF should stick to cauliflowers.

OL & Lily, when I grew aubergines I germinated indoors, potted on and put in GH at same time as toms. They were eventually in same size buckets as toms. As I mentioned they got white fly even though toms didn't, so I stood them outside. I did have to support mine. Mistake I made was to let most of fruits grow rather than removing quite a few to enable others to grow bigger.

They should be okay outside in a sunny spot after no danger of frost.

Verdun - it says here that it's ideal for small gardens or containers  http://www.crocus.co.uk/plants/_/prunus-mume-beni-chidori/classid.2000011175/

I still don't have a reason not to get one image
