up early to help in shop. Today we take supplies to local campsite in Forest and extra pair of hands helps. Not a sign of any rain. Happy valley keeps missing out.
Good morning to you all as you fall out of your pit. hopefully a lovely day beckons.
Light rain here - just enough to damp things down. And some sort of alarm is going in the distance - in fact it sounds as if a railway crossing barrier is jammed down and the siren is going continually - it's only faint in the distance - but I can hear it!!!
Congratulations Bekkie
Clarri - I'm getting very curious indeed
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
It's just stopped! It was really faint as the railway line is across the other side of the marshes, we don't hear the trains unless they sound their horn at the crossing, but it was just loud enough to make it feel as if my ears were ringing - weird
Hefty Hedgehog was by the back door last night as we went to bed - I'd forgotten to take the cover off the food - a clear plastic box like the ones a joint of meat comes in from the supermarket, I put it on to keep the marauding blackbirds out of it in the evening - anyway, somehow Hefty had got the cover off himself Glad he's got that worked out - it takes some of the responsibility off my shoulders

Morning all! Seventh day of work in a row today - looking forward to having tomorrow off so that I can... sit at home sorting paperwork! The boss is away for the weekend and I'm looking after his hamster - this scares me more than having his keys to the building!
I've been waiting for the official release to come out but it seems the director is rather slow with the paperwork so I'll put you out of your misery and let you know now.
I'm taking over "events and education" at the museum I always chatter about on an initial one month paid expenses only then a six month contract. There's huge potential to expand what we can offer schools in regards to tours as well as visiting members of the public and I'm really looking forward to moving forward with it all. It's a large pay drop for me and I have a very strict target to hit just to ensure my wages are covered along with heaps of stress being flung at me but I can't tell you how wonderful it is to WANT to get up to go to work!
But don't get too excited - I'm also the one who has to clean the toilets and wipe snot off the display cabinets so its not all grandeur and asking teachers what they want from us.
Had Hefty is learning Dove. I'm spotting what I think is hedgehog poo in the garden (nearly photographed it to put up here) but haven't seenany more hoggies yet. I'm waiting for my darling other half to start measuring up wood for the chicken wood to see if I can convince a little over supply so he's some excess wood to make a hog home.

not good the alarm going off, this is the time of the day when we want to hear the birds not alarms
