....! Big lump of beef awaiting my attention for a roast tonight - guess that means I'd best start pottering on!
What time are you expecting us Clari? I can lay my hands on a couple of bottles of Medoc
Strictly a cider drinker here KEF alas but any time after 18:00! Not sure why I brought such a large joint for just two of us! Lots of beef sandwiches this week!
Also I've lost my roasting tin - think its disappeared in the manshed along with my hairdryer.
How is the worm set up Clari? Any pics of them moving in
I set it up Friday night, opened it yesterday to find most of the worms hanging around on the lid! I've a few photos I'll pop up later, nothing terribly impressive to look at I'm afraid!
I still haven't found the Anemone blanda bulbs I 'misplaced' last autumn...
but the tulips I planted last month are all growing well
Glad all went well chicky - don't envy you the train trip but I know what you mean about not wanting chicklet to do the journey herself....difficult balance isn't it?
Clearing up here so I hope to get lots more done. All the plants I put in yesterday are looking happy so quite pleased with that. Digging needs doing in various areas for further planting but not sure the back will be up to the job
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thought I would pop in and say Hi. What a performance. Had to re-register, then couldn't remember password, I'm sure it was the one I typed in but wouldn't let me have.
Anyway here I am, briefly.
Big news is daughter (bike ride for cancer) has got herself engaged to a lovely bloke. No qualms about it.
Then I priced how much an average wedding would be OW! OW! OW!.
Still should have a while to save up as their priority is to buy a house.
Garden is doing OK. Finally, using nectar points, bought the Grow house I wanted. Gives me more space.
Planted a lovely white cherry - Prunus Shirotea - in the back
Put a twig I received from Hayloft in a pot (supposed to be a cercis) Still a twig!
I missed Punk's Glostonbury post, well done...jealous.com
Anyway, come in for a coffee.......squeamish alert!!!! Just found a load of maggots, in my GH. Under some compost!!! No idea why/how they are there and the bag has only been there a few days. Anyway, bag now in the bin, not risking in and kettle boiled!!! Urgghhhhhhh, good job I don't have a hangover
Glastonbury sounds pretty cool PDoc. Nearest I will get to a musical extravaganza this summer is escorting 5 screaming, giggly teenagers to Wembley Stadium to see One D ..... Story of My Life (did you see what I did there ... i'll get my coat)
lovely news about your daughter Matty - and good to see you back too
Matty - congratulations for your daughter! I keep trying to drop hints at OH about getting engaged but his trip to Machine Mart reliably informs me there'll be no money in his bank account for a shiny ring for a while. Don't worry about the costings- a few if my friends getting married made so much themselves creating really very unique (but surprisingly simple) things and shopped around they say they've no idea how you get cost to the average cost without going silly.
I'm trying to make gluten free lemon drizzle cake with potatoes. The ingredients list doesn't call for eggs but the instructions due. Cue meltdown!!
Punkdoc can you crank it up a little please?! I can still hear the neighbours kids! Think they've found the sugar jar bless them!

Camping I am afraid. Had a look at glamping before I got tickets, and you would need to be a rock star to afford it.
When you don't even know who's in the team
S.Yorkshire/Derbyshire border
Morning all.
Lovely evening last night, don't think my dirty hands put him off
.
So much posted on here last night it has taken a while catching up. Dove that cake looks delicious
Also what an impressive planter panda.
Glad my children are all old enough to make their own decisions now Chicky, it is a hard balance encouraging independance and keeping safe.
Weather doesn't look too good today so no excuse for not doing school work
.
Have a wonderful day everyone
Well Good day
