It's not the bits and pieces - I've already been called on for cake and growing the flowers, (agreed to sacrifice one of my raised veg beds for the purpose)
It's the cost of the venues I've looked at - scarey!
I'm sure they will work it all out, they are sensible (most of the time)
Hey up, wots this with Pdoc & Clari thinking I'm a boozer. Wasn't me offering vino Clari, it was that Dove.
Panda my Astrantia Major (bulbs ) LOL, might need the help Lazarus had. I have however wet the dead bits of root and put them in a seed tray. Only bought them as I thought "bulbs" bought last Autumn would save and they were 1/2 price. In all honesty it was a quick grab and not read, on the way out of the SM.
Now have Ranunculus asiaticus ( Persian buttercup) bulbs ! & Anemone de Caen bulbs! soaking for 24hrs and will plant tomoz'.
Grass cut and some pots fed.
Brisket slowly cooking on a bed of leeks & carrots for later.
Well done Pdoc on Glast' tickets rather you than me camping.
Lily beetle, none on lilies but caught one on a blinking tulip of all things.
Yes Kef, I spotted one earlier on a Potentilla Miss Wilmott and it escaped my clutches although it must be starving because I currently have no lillies or Fritillaries in my garden
RHS quotes:"Although adult beetles have been found occasionally feeding on other plant species, only lilies and fritillaries are true hosts, on which eggs are laid and larvae develop."
Thus said lily beetle is an unloved lily beetle and serves it right
Weather improved this afternoon and allowed me a little walk around my garden with a cuppa and sore feet after my nine hr shift at work. Tomorrow I hope to get the last of my planting done and my new arch arrives in the morning although putting it up requires another day and another pair of hands.
Aww cute frog Clari Regarding the maggots, mmmmmm, no sorry I hate maggots more than slugs, I really did think I was going to sick so just had to kill them to stop them wriggling

Thanks Nut! I'll have a look at that.
Lovely and sunny here - currently sat on the patio trying to put off going back inside to do the cleaning.
Think your sun has just arrived Clari
Nearest I get to festival is listening to the noise from the V festival. Depending on the direction the wind is it can feel like you are right there
