Morning Panda. Did you see the baby pandas on the news yesterday?. Very cute but I thought it was a shame they were lying on a wooden floor rather than on something soft.
Noooooooooooo Dove you can't get a sensible car or you'll lose your honorary membership in the Mature Ladies with Tops Off club. I'll be all on my own then
Gloriouly sunny day yesterday, (with top off) .didn't get my list of jobs completed as I needed to visit a garden centre for terracotta pots (with top off). Also snuck in some quality gardening time in the sun (with top off ) before parents sprang a surprise visit (with top off )
Okay, okay, not all of those descriptions are entirely truthful, I was just trying to put the visual in Dove's head
I'm a new driver and I worried a lot about not having a sensible first car, but the more I drive my Mazda the more I adore it. It's sooo dinky, I only see where I've parked it by looking through the windows of other cars
Not been around for a while. Turns out that lovely, fit and healthy Mr Chicky has some nasty heart problems. Several hospital stays later (some involving sirens to arrive), and we now know he needs 3 stents. First 2 are being done tomorrow, last one a few weeks later. His heart is still good and helathy, just need to get the arteries sorted. Have been oscilating between lots of positive thinking and sheer terror.
DD's story, and those others have told as a result, have given me much strength. So roll on tomorrow for part 1
Hope all goes well for Mr chicky and sorry I didn't count you in the mature ladies Tops Off club.
Any other ladies who frequently drive with their tops off or men, please make yourselves known, we're ganging up on Dove so she doesn't desert us for Sensible Street
Morning all , rain and more rain today going to Boston shortly for meetings so not bothered really
watched Lincoln City win last night , I suspect that not many on this site are interested in football
top down - when o/h had open top car , top down when it was 12 degrees or more but not in rain , also open top on a sunny but cold winters day to coast was good , happy days
Chicky - So sorry to hear about your OH. I know a few people who have had stents & bypasses & they are all living happy & full lives now. A very worrying time for you at the moment though - hope all goes well. x
Hope the car gets sorted soon Dove & is not too expensive. OH has had a Mazda MX5 for the last 2 cars (I think that's what Winter has too) & has found them excellent value cars (more smiles per mile as they say) & lots of fun.
DD - Kids! 'nuff said
Clari - At 'em girl!
Pat - Hope dinner was good. Nice idea to read the magazines 6 mths behind to get the season relevant info for you.
Everyone else - hope you have a good day.
Had a good day yesterday clearing up leaves & cutting the grass although it was very wet with dew - never really dries out in my north facing garden for the next 6 months. Now have 2 one tonne buiders sacks full of wet leaf & grass cutting mix which should have rotted down enough by April to start adding in layers to the compost bin.
Today it is tiddling down so will be doing a bit of cooking, ironing (I like ironing with something nice on the radio or TV - find it quite therapeutic - sorry to let the side down!) and maybe some h/wrk (boring).
SYL folks.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Chicky - what a shock for you all. I hope the ops go well and he can be back with you soon ((Hugs)).
Pat I should read the magazine a month behind because I think here in Scotland is usually about six weeks behind the South of England
My bra strap broke - does that count as top down. It's raining here too but I certainly won't be ironing. Off to B&Q for ceiling paint and something to fix my cold frame lid.

Morning all.
Biblical type rain this morning, I have cancelled the cleaner, as I always go out when she is here and it is far too wet to go out.
Got my light box on in front of the computer, so hopefully my mood should remain good.
Dove, I really really miss my soft top, p###s extension or not.
Have a good day everyone.
