Topbird So sorry to hear about OH. Very best wishes for a speedy recovery. Hugs to you both x.
OH had a soft top when i first met him, great car, fun times.
DD, you made me giggle re Charlies tales
Beautiful sunny day so far. Bit wasted as I've been sorting stuff......some went in the recycling bin. Some for burning and some went back in the cupboards
Can't beat this simple version Gertie, I doubled it up though for a 2lb tin, if you are going to the bother of baking might as well have enough to last (an hour at least).
Re. Charlie's tales, I wait for the B&B reviews to come in with trepidation. On Saturday the guests were telling him what good French vocabulary he had - he agreed with them (modestly) and asked if they wanted to hear his gros mots (swear words). It's bad enough concentrating on cooking dinner never mind keeping an ear open for all he has to say (in a language he is much better at than me).

Oooh Chicky Best wishes to OH - he'll be fine I'm sure - my cousin had exactly the same thing and lives a very active life now - and has a Merc soft top like the one that Hosta is lusting after ((hugs)) to you.
By the way folks, my car's not a soft top, it has a hard top with a glass roof which folds down automatically. OH says it reminds him of a grasshopper's legs when it does it. Like this ...
Does that still count?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
DD - I bet they thought Charlie was adorable - I'd give him a very good review!!!
By the way, do you think that OH's grumpiness might be due in part to post-anaesthsia stuff - I know nothing about such things, but some people have told me that they've felt really depressed following ops with lots of anaesthetic.
We have an absolutely amazing bright yellow sky at the moment!

DD Charlie is quite a wee character isn't he?
. How long do you bake the lemon drizzle cake for if you double the recipe? I fancy giving it a go
.
LilyP I bet you just feel you are banging your head against a brick wall
. I really hope that someone is able to help you.
