Morning all/afties Pat. Damp here as forecast but not bad considering it's nearly November.
£1300 is what Georgie boy probably finds down the back of the sofa on a regular basis. Sorry, what his 'man' finds down the back of the sofa....
DD- oops! Kids eh? Couldn't eat a whole one...
Dove - that's the trouble now with cars. Computerised. Too much to go wrong, and when you visit a garage, it's a fortune as soon as you walk in the door because they say it's the hingmijig causing the whoosit to disconnect and that costs gazillions....sign here please. Oh for the good old days when a 'bloke tinkered with a spanner'. And stop making up your own jokes there Hosta Biggest problem we had with my last car was the 'hard faced b**** at the front desk. The mechanics were lovely. She could have stunned cattle at a hundred paces that one...
I'll now catch up on your doings from last night as I was too busy watching Lewis
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Lilyp my mag is in and I've skimmed through the lot. Will go back later for a good read. I really enjoy it and the best part is because I bought back copies as well, so I can read 6 months behind for seasonal hints. It's amazing how much you miss unless someone reminds you.
Clari, my little madam snores as well, but she is fairly quiet about it, we generally have a good laugh when she starts.
i can smell delicious odours coming from the kitchen, so I'll sign off for a while.
I'll take a coffee and a hug please Dove. The hug is to warm me up. You'll really miss your sporty wee car if you decide to get something 'sensible'.
DD you made me smile about Charlie - it brought back some of the very embarrassing things my two have said in the past.
It's not straightforward going to Russia is it LilyP
Clari - don't wear yourself out at work on their behalf. We've got a heavyweight dog too. I think she was 34kg at the last weigh in. She can pull me off the sofa when we have a game of tug
Fairy sorry I didn't reply to your question about my foot yesterday, It's still the same and likely to be for a number of months. I manage with gel insoles and supportive footwear. Have you been to the Docs about your ankle yet?
Have a good day all and a speedy one for the workers

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

You need some lemon drizzle cake
Oh - and use granulated sugar for the drizzle Gertie - makes it lovely and crunchy and contrasts beautifully with the lemony sponge. Yum

Not been Lesley.
I've adapted my 'washing up sponge' slightly by using one of those sticky bandages to hold it in place, instead of tape. Works a treat
That's a real pain with your foot - no pun intended. As long as you have a remedy in the meantime it's not so bad though.
Off to salt mine now. Catch you all later. Have a good day all
