Pdoc, I remember you having neighbour issues, image hope they are not giving you grief anymore or have suddenly had to move! image

GWRS, hope you are enjoying your retirement! I remember that when Dove retired she arranged it so it was bonfire night, she wanted fireworks to celebrate! Not that she was looking forward to it eh Dove!image

Going to retreat to the quiet of the basement, nighty nite all

  • Hi there,

WW so sorry to read about all your troubles. image

Glad you found some bargains Runny, understand your missing 'pests', Charlie drives me mad with his constant twittering on but really wouldn't be without him. image

OH also drives me mad - he doesn't come out of his office/den very often but when he does I sometimes wonder if he is on the same planet as the rest of us. Our new guests arrived tonight and complimented us on the '"lovely house", he replied "how do you know, you can't see it in the dark" and when she said she was going to have a bath he said "well you had better let the water run, it's not been used for years" which is absolute rubbish as the lady that stayed on Friday used it and I cleaned it out after her and also rinsed it around today. What kind of person makes comments like that to paying guests, I really wonder what goes through his mind sometimes! image

The guests are from SA and were explaining over there they have servants for everything, the lady has no idea how to use a washing machine, dishwasher or vacuum cleaner - I looked at OH and the thought crossed my mind that perhaps that's where he originated from. image

Sorry, I am being mean, not been out much lately and I am definitely getting a bit stir crazy, luckily tomorrow I have a coffee morning and a gym class to go to as well as an invitation to go running with the club, hopefully I will get it all out my system but I honestly do wonder about him sometimes.image

I seem to have met a blank in this thread. There have been no new posts since flowers at 8.27am and I know that is 12 hours past.  I wonder if this post will bring it all up again?

I can't get my head around Syria anymore. This a "civilised" country, where children are starving to death.

What sort of world are we living in now, I am really starting to lose my faith in humanity.

Neighbour problems continue WW, todays phone problems may have something to do with them, as the junction box is located in a field, that they own.

They tried to deny access to BT, but were told very firmly by BT that they had a legal right to enter.

Sadly problems will continue, just not sure OH and I want to tolerate the situation.

DD I find my wife says some equally strange things, I think it is just what happens, when you have been with someone a long time

I've caught up. It seems as though my last post freed up whatever was stopping it. Perhaps I used up more than my quota the day before? image

I do realise that you're all getting ready for bed, if not already there, but hello anyway.

ourprediction today is 29 c, but the house is still cold. My feet need warming up.  When I finish cooking up HRHs weekly supply of chicken, rice and veg stew, I'll go outside and get warmed up. hubby has taken the tractor down to the river paddock with the slasher on the back, he noticed a distinct purple tinge on it this morning - no doubt Patterson's Curse! It's supposed to be a Lucerne paddock, but the weeds are almost impossible to control.
