I used to love having the log store stacked full for the winter ... now we have central heating and a swish electric flames behind glass in a hole in the chimney sort of a fire - I've always had open fires, woodburners, woodfired Rayburns etc before and I loved them, but now I love not having the dust/ash/mess in the mornings imageimage

I know Runny .........  spent my life toasting my chilblains in front of open fires and woodburners, but this is a lovely warm house and very easy to keep clean - I'm happy with it image

Never watched bakeoff before - got bullied into it by the chicklets. Really enjoyed it ....its just like allotment challenge, says I, to hoots of derisionimage

Lovely logs LilyP.  Mr Chicky is slightly obsessed with them too.  We even have special wrapping paper with a log pattern for all his gifts.

Back many pages .....I am a little bit concerned that I might be an even bigger nosey parker than Verdun's neighbour .....if the criteria is asking about plant names, then I'm definitely well on the wayimageimage

mr Chicky, I think that's lovely!

Frit, hope calving goes well, this may be stating the obvious but have you tried ringing your phone?

sat down to watch Bake Off and cousin phoned had to watch the whole thing on mute!

what was the disaster cake? Looked tasty enough to me!

Thanks Lily. Phone doesn't have a sim card. I use it for internet and the camera. But I got my daughter to call it through face book and found it in the draw next to my desk.image

I will be able to take a photo when I go out to check on her later that is if she has calved.image
