Good morning DD image and the rest of you when you arrive image

So DD, what did you decide ............ ?

Steve, I'm sure you'd win - mine was a course for sheep and goat farmers - however it didn't half impress my employers in social services when I mentioned it image

Good morning Dove and DD. I've been out in the fresh air gardening today, so missed your early posts. He all is well.DD those young fellows sound very nice.  Did they say why they wanted to get away early? Perhaps sight seeing around the area. image

Yes Dove,  I feel almost back to normal. It's a strange feeling after so long, and I am almost too scared to get cocky about it In case I Jonah myself.

ive done 2500 steps more than my wrist thingie expected me to do today, so there!  I've transplanted more tomato seedlings and they are looking good, the Lazy Housewife beans are up, the broad beans are covered in flowers,  I'm getting worried about the amount of greens ready for picking. There's a limit to how much we can get through.  It's always the way - winter crop still producing when I want the space for the summer crops.  Good fun, though! image

Good morning DD and Dove, afternoon Patimage

Windy again here (the weather, not me) and will have to pull up some of the horizontal plants later - cosmos etc.  I was helping younger son with his holiday packing last night as he's off to Las Vegas then on to Florida.  You would not believe how many cans of deodorant, shower gel etc he's taking for two weeksimageimage.

Pat you'll have to think of loads of ways to use your extra veg for when your friends arriveimage.  Glad your feeling so much better now but you should still pace yourself.

    Have a good day everyoneimage

You're right Lesley. I do need to be aware of my limitations, but the day has been just right, temp and light wise, so got all enthusiastic.

I had to restrain myself from laughing about your suggestion that I try to temp our visitors to eat "greens". They are more pizza people.  We've tried before. We always put the whole meal in the centre of the table and let people help themselves. Our experience is that Hubby and I are the only ones to load up the Veggies. image  So, last time they visited, Hubby included the chopped greens in with the whole casserole / stew type meals, so they had no choice. Ha!

Morning all, and afties Pat. Rather a vile day here so I may have to tackle the ironing...image

Strange how quickly the scenery has changed here - a week ago everything was still very lush and green - suddenly it's fading, and turning brown and gold.

Glad you're feeling a bit more chipper Pat and able to enjoy the improving weather image

DD- were you like a giddy schoolgirl with your lovely visitors image

Bricks Panda? Crossing my legs right now...image I do remember all the young ponies being 'done' at work. Elastic bands...image

    Think I need tea.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Pat your hubby had the right idea by putting the green in the casserolesimage.  I've been doing that for years as, although both sons love their veg, OH hates them.  That's why he never grew very tallimage.

Jo I remember when the recycling centre was called 'the tip'image.  Hope your weather gets better this afternoon.  I'll be thinking of you ((hugs)).

Dove I'm going to make leek and potato soup today and don't always get it well balanced.  Have you got a good tip about ratio of potatoes to leeks?  Pleaseimageimage.
