    Afternoon all image

I remember Marion Dove, in Ber green dress, that thing was freaky! image maybe the reason that all dolls I was given, had their noses and ears pierced, hair dyed and were then chucked in the pond! image but Bossdog the lab had to have something to retrieve! image

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday image

  • Weather absolutely diabolical now. Won't be going anywhere today.

Perhaps I'll join you Kef and Lesley, need to work off the chocsimage

I loved dolls too, i had Tressy, Sindy, baby dolls etc.

Loved Spirograph, jigsaws. Still got my threadbear bear too. And Enid Blyton books.

    Good Afternoon,

do I have a"bug" somewhere?  Really sorry, it annoys me so cant think what it must do to you all, yes I have tried the water, I think it's a fright I need now?

everyone sounds busy getting ready to return to normal, our family arrive this afternoon so it will be chaotic till mid week.

i have no toys bit kits if family photos which I love  I must get sine restored tho has anyone done this?

lets hope ere is some sunshine tomorrow, I hate this darkness

I heard you Verdun, glad England are doing well, but I just can't get enthusiastic about cricket.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Miserable day here in Norfolk - so dark and dank that even the seagulls are ignoring the bread crusts I threw out - if they don't want them I'll have to send OH out to gather them up and bin them - don't want to attract rats image

We have our main meal in the evening, but I've prepped everything this morning - herb stuffing (parsley/sage/lemon) has been made and stuffed into the chicken, milk is infusing with onion, cloves and bayleaves for bread sauce, potatoes, carrots and broccoli are all peeled/rinsed etc.  and ready to be cooked ...... I shall now put my feed up for the afternoon and watch a film and get on with my knitting  image

Verdun, please keep cheering the English cricketers for me .... on Pa's behalf .... he would be very pleased image

Had a rummage through my old certs Runny - as expected no sign of the Cadbury's one - obvious not deemed important enough to keep at the time image I remember eating the chocolate & I think the tin became a pencil box or similar for while but that's long gone as well.

Was looking at some of my old school reports 'Diligent & careful' crops up a lot as does 'I wish she would speed up a little'. Think the same words would probably apply 50 years later - takes me ages to get things done - but when they're finished they're done properly. Noticeable how my exam results started to dwindle once the boys came to our school & became more interesting than history & geography image

Still managed a decent crop of O and A levels despite the distractions tho' image

Roast chicky sounds yum Dove - big fan of bread sauce. I'm having omelette... image

Will do better over the next few days when OH is here for dinner

I think it must be bed time (again), I seem to always be saying that.  Anyway, until our clocks get back to a reasonable difference, i  guess I'll have to put up with it.  It has been raining steadily all evening, so I'm keen to read the rain gauge in the morning.

We've had a guest all evening and she's only just left. Interestingly, I got Hubby to record two cave exploration programs for when she visits and she really enjoyed them. She works as a cave guide in the Snowy's so is always keen to talk about caves.  I'm so claustrophobic, I can barely think about it, but every one to his own, aye?  Have a good evening. Catch you tomorrow.image

    Weather here is pants image

I don't seem to have any toys from when I was little.... we do have family photos though image Other family members still have their toys though.... what does that say about me???

Anyhoo, enjoy what's left of the day, I've gotta dash...
