Love clouds Pat. I can see the lower half of Britain, though slightly squashed. Thanks for the offer of your recipe. I'd love to try it too
Dove thank you for the recipe. I wish I was more organised and kept successful ones instead of jotting them on scrap paper And throwing them away. I'll let you know the scores on the doors later
DD - he sounds perfect. No man is perfect
Fairy - re 'Is he hoping to pull?' I hope so. He can't get so much washing in the basket from the US
I've not been around much this week I've been busy in the garden and doing some more de-cluttering and washing walls ready to decorate Also needed a new iron, OH said ours packed in due to lack of use
Good morning KEF and everyone else who's appeared whilst I've been wielding the hoover upstairs
You've got me worried now KEF - if that's the cause I've a feeling our iron will pack up at any moment
Coffee and a bacon sarnie being consumed - then I need to make a shopping list for OH to bring home from the farm shop and then I must get out into the garden ... there's a few jobs that won't wait much longer - sow the broad beans, plant some iris reticulata, pot on some violas, decide whether to stake or put windbreak fabric around sprouting broccoli or both, rake some leaves ... oooh 'eck, I think I need another coffee .......
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Lesley, I've PM'd the recipe - not sure of its OK to put someone else's recipe on an open site, however it was on a TV program, so it was available to everyone.
Pat, I think when posting someone else's recipes online it's ok if they're on a website - then you can link to that and you're covered re copyright etc.
Good morning, late this morning as had very disturbed worrying about a nasty situation I am trying to deal with. I must be getting older would haven't upset me 5 years ago!
Pat how I remember the size of the sky! Stunning, what an outlook you have!
sounds like we all have grotty weather this morning, I might just make soup you have all got me thinking leek and potato!
DD are your visitors away? They did sound easy on the eye ( a saying of my sons!)
Dove, you going to the farm shop? I can't find any venison sausages ................
joe I never really believe the forecasts, they are usually out 24 hours either way!
will probably prepare roast potatoes for freezer this morning and a batch of Autumn jam to finish off fruit.
have a cosy day everyone

Steve. Not according to the weather channel. I must admit I got a shock when I went out and saw it looming over the east end of the valley. Eek!

Morning all.
Don't forget that 6am for you is 7am for me and DD
But she'd already made breakfast before 7am, still very early for me!
I use a lot more leek than potato in soup, that's quantity not weight. It's all guesswork! I use chicken stock cube too and onions.
A friend is coming this morning, my first ever French friend. Since her OH retired and they moved to Brittany I rarely see her.

Can you do my bulbs too Dove? Too busy making my starling proof cage yesterday ... and it's not gardening weather here right now...
My iron probably won't work then...
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Jo, the cloud seems to have dissipated . Don't ask me - I can't work it out. It's almost dark now (7.45pm).

But on the bright side ... I probably won't find out for ages ...................
Fg, ok ... but can you wash my kitchen floor?
