Hosta, the pain family cause is the hardest, after all they are your blood and it's hard to believe they can hurt you.  ......

Doesn't really surprise me - they know you best so they know how best to do it - and they've grown up in competition with you image

    Morning all.

Thanks again one and all. You really are just so kind.

Especially loving all the hugs, they're great.

Spoke to Hubby earlier, he's pretty calm, just resigned to moving on without them in his life. He's packed his stuff up and is going to our friends' place this evening.

I've 2 brothers and in 20 years I've seen one twice ( at his kids' weddings ) and the other once ( at one of those weddings. My niece hadn't laid eyes on him in the previous 12 years so didn't invite him)

    Families eh?

Light rain, light winds , grey and pretty dreech out there.

I'm afraid that some people just don't understand same sex couples and Hosta's OH's sister must be one of them. But they are people like everyone else and don't deserve such treatment. I have several friends in same sex relationships and they are all lovely. What is needed is more education and less bigotry. I hope no one minds my saying that on a forum. Hugs for Hosta and his OH.

    Good hug day image

Pleasant enough here 16C and some brightnessimage

I should do some weeding today, but think I'll go and visit the swans & cygnets on the pond, one had to be taken for a check up by Swan Sanctuary as it wasn't feeding and the others were ignoring it image I think if it is okay it will be re-homed, as the adults didn't make much attempt to defend it when the chap caught it.

    Thanks BL.

Seems like swans can sometimes have pretty sh*tty families  too eh?

    MUCH JOY

I've just been out to feed the birds and, guess what? more hedgehog poo. I'm so chuffed.

Hosta - pleased you found hedgehog poo - only another gardener could understand why that makes you happy image

Sorry to hear about the family strife. There is no worse pain than that suffered by someone you love. Just be there with the hugs and a glass of something nice to enjoy together. You don't need that nastiness in your lives image
