Jo, sending you big hugs x I was the worst wreck when my first cat died nearly 2 years ago, I didn't eat for a week, drink nothing but brandy....dug a grave in a hail storm sobbing my eyes out, it was bleak! We lasted a week without having a cat and rescued our lovely Harrie, shes very glad we did as are we...image I sympathise greatly, sincerest best wishes to you and to Newkids pals x

Good morning everyone. A bit cool this morning and the fire has gone out overnight, so I've turned the electric on for a while.  I've no real plans for today, but thinking about putting some more young tomato seedlings out into garden beds. The few I've put out so far seem to be happy. I always get a bit carried away with my saved seeds, and have about 30 young plants raring to go. I've about 10 different ones, some I've developed myself, so I don't want to lose them.

We're starting to plan meals for when our friends arrive on Friday. Thankfully, Hubby is still doing most of the food preparation, so he can triple our usual helping to make allowances for their appetites. I rang her yesterday to find out when they expect to arrive, so now know when to expect them. (I can't believe that she hadn't bothered to let us know and I had to chase her myself, but then, I'm not really surprised). Grrr.

re the horror smash, we checked BBC World News a couple of times between watching recorded programs last night but I think it was too early to get more than the basics - don't really want the details, but feel so bad for all concerned that I do want to know. The aerial shots reminded us ot the many cycle shots we've seen every Tour in the region. Very narrow mountainous roads and poor visibility.  Very shocking!

anyway, another day has arrived and need to be more positive rather than morbid, so best wishes to everyone today.

  • I hope this doesn't become a game of 'I can castrate better than you can', I may actually win something!

  • Morning All,

My lovely looking working boys wanted to have an early breakfast, they were so polite and asked so very nicely I couldn't say no. and despite the early hour they still look good. (not sure about self) image image

Now, should I take the opportunity of an early start and get loads of jobs done - or go back to bed? Uhhm? image
