Dove, you have made me laugh out loud! I have been gardening a la Charlie Dimmock today, which was probably a mistake and certainly not a good idea in a vest top
I've been navvying like Tommy Walsh Panda. I'll have to record the programme tonight - is it to early to go to bed yet? Good job phone cameras were a thing of the future Dove.
It's better to laugh than cry which is what I felt like doing earlier. I've been trying to level slabs by a manhole cover, every part of my body aches and it looks worse now than when I started (The slabs look worse not my body). Well ....
I can't even be seen in public with a gap in my shirt these days. Never used to be like that but age + a little more out front has me fearing the mutton.
Well Panda! the mind boggles! other things joggle..... But enough has been said about that!
Lesley think you should have been in bed the whole time with a pointy stick and a well oiled young man, instructing him how and where to put said slabs!
Just soaked the lawn and entire garden after intense sun baking today and more expected tomorrow!
Planted a few spots with colour, tripped my seedling tray upside down! six casualties!
Bit late But been too hot til now so dinner time! New pots, home done breaded cod fillets and mangey rooted
Just about ready for an early start tomorrow - getting the train at 7.30. (Yes, I know some of you have started work by then, but I'm usually still in bed with a book and a cup of tea until 8.) I get to Oban too late for the last ferry so I'm staying the night in the backpackers hostel, which should be an experience!
Off to make my sandwiches. Be good while I'm away - see you in 3 weeks...

I've noticed that even Charlie D seems to have acquired some substantial underpinnings these days
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Don't know about underpinnings Dove. Hoists may be more appropriate for me

That sounds hard, Lesley, not something I'd want to attempt.
It has been so hot it's uncomfortable today, just starting to cool down.
LesleyK, I hope you recover by the morning
Goodness me a braless Panda!
