Morning Fairyg, Verdun, Pat and Lesley, wish I was in bed Lesley! I would blame the bad foot on ironing, housework and sm shopping! image my bad foot is blamed on honey brandy and an urge to start a ho-down to a particularly lively tune! image still don't regret it tho! image bit inconvenient when trying to move house and decorate tho!

Enjoy your walk Fairy, hope you have a beautiful day for it!

Fairyg, yes Susan was our daughter - ovarian cancer got her. We're ok nowadays, the edge has been blunted by time thank goodness.m

Lesley, that's a good one to remember (if I can image). Im much improved. Had a normal meal the last two nights with no ill effects, so I've got my fingers crossed.

Morning all. Off to work soon but if anyone has any ideas for a memorable gift for a 16 yr old boy that last night won a spirit of fire courage award I'd be so grateful.

Hello everyone - old friends ( ok less of the old, my 'special' birthday in a couple of weeks) and an extra hello to newbies I've missed. Hope you and yours are all well, and gardens gracefully giving in to the seasons.

I've just time for another passing post, wish I could say I'd be a regular on here again but reality sets in!

If you remember I sowed loads of cosmos intending to give it away - school fair, car boots etc. Well most of it went in my garden - never again! don't get me wrong I love cosmos but oh what a jungle it became, well it would with 50+ plants in a not huge garden! A bit early but it's all out now, and the garden can breathe again.

Verdun, I might have killed the feather bed! I dug it all up to replant and space out ready for next year. Yes, probably a better idea in spring , now I can't tell if it's sleeping or dead!

Panda, I'm guessing you have a new job - well done and hope it goes well.

    Enjoy your weekend everyone.
  • Morning all.

What happened to the sunshine............really foggy out there this morning can't see past half way down the garden. Think I've got Pdocs pea souper image

    Hugs Pat X

    Have a good walk Fairy.

Dove have you tried 'hard as nails' clear nail polish? really good.

Wonky have a good weekend, hope you get lots done, but take it easy. You can take your time now you're in.

Don't mind paying for bags for food shopping, although always take my bags for life.  On tv last week they said some supermarkets will give them for free for loose pots etc.

Think some shops are going to get some upset customers.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

    Take care, TTFN x

Two coats on SGL, as well as regular application of Mavala Scientifique nail hardener and twice daily massaging in of nail protecting hand cream.  If I didn't do all that I wouldn't have any nails at all!!!

Low cloud here, but no fog image

We have a Simplehuman pedal bin in the kitchen that is designed to use carrier bags as bin liners - seemed good recycling to us and seems daft to buy bags to use in it - then I pondered ...... all the wet and sticky waste goes either in the cooked food bin or on the compost heap .... so the general rubbish bin shouldn't need lining should it?  Just take it out to the wheelie bin, empty it, rinse it and voilá .... well, that's what we're going to try anyway image

Sorry should have said, good morning.

Not feeling too sociable at the moment, neighbour situation is getting me down, trying to stay calm as much to help OH as me, as she is concerned about what I might do.

More important that I look after her, as she is fed up with job as well.

    Sorry to sound so miserable.

    Have a nice day.
