Sun is trying to come out... hope so as I've put washing out now
Brilliant Panda - we'll be crossing our fingers for you on the day
WW - you could always get some budgies for the chickweed. I used to know someone who bred them ( ) and she used to pick it from the lanes at the stables where it grew for Britain!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thanks, that's perfect for me Dove - what's everyone else having though?
Various other 'stuff' done and may venture outside to do a little bit of this and that. No real sun here today but it's pleasant and dry. Hope it stays reasonable for tomorrow for a walk, although I'll head east as it's to be typically rubbish for bigger hills on the west side
At least the washing's drying.

Lily, there isn't really a recipe for the pie - I just make it ........ shortcrust pastry made with about 12 oz of plain flour and half butter half lard - line an enamel pie plate. Take six good butcher's sausages and remove the skins - put them in the pie like spokes of a wheel with five spaces between them. Break a small egg into the space between each sausage. Add some sliced tomatoes if liked/available. Put pastry lid on, make a hole in the centre for steam to escape and decorate with trimmings and egg wash. Put in oven for 40 mins at 180C fan - turn down to 160C after the first 10 mins.

YAY! Good luck Panda, so pleased for you. Xx
Morning all.
Another beautiful sunny morning but a chilly wind .
Friends arriving around 3ish. Much to do before they arrive.
We're thinking of a drive to Port Isaac tomorrow where they film Doc Marten. I'm sure we'll find a nice hostelry on the way home.
Tea in bed as hubby home, such a simple treat.
Have a good weekend one and all.
re "old" duvets: I've seen lots of requests on freecycle for them.
The pub on the front does a nice roast Hosta, should be able to park on the beach this time of the year.

Bounty Bar Cake out of the oven and cooling down.
Sausage, Tomato and Egg Plate Pie in the oven baking for supper tonight and OH's lunch tomorrow.
I've had a lovely wander around the garden - it's looking quite dishevelled and beautifully autumnal
Now I'm flopped on the sofa for a few minutes - when the cake is cooled I'll make a Chocolate Creme Fraiche topping.
