Time for bed for me if I'm going to be cheated out of an hour tonight. Lucky my kindle is full of my current favourite novels - Kerry greenwood's novels about the baker Corrine Chapman. Not only does she make me laugh, but she also has good recipes for her cakes and breads, etc. lots of yummy things to dream about.
Very quick hello, also in middle of a rather complicated dinner, my own fault, was wanting to use up the abundance of vegetables in garden, so lots on the go - and burnt my wrist quite badly making beurre noisette - stinging, stinging stinging, but I'm trying to be brave.
Liri, so sad about your mum, such an upheaval, but safer more suitable care might just be better for her.
Punkdoc, what a pain for you too, you are sounding very self controlled though, which has to be a good thing, upper hand and all that.
Had a great time at the restaurant last night btw, I was so worried, but it was fab.
Must dash, cauliflower boiling over,
Good evening all, SCD tonight too.

Liri - what a horrible situation for you. I hope you can resolve it without too much difficulty. How on earth do you determine a good home though?
doc - is there a way of resolving your issue too? Or are the neighbours simply 'unreasonable'?
Hope the dodgy ankle improves Lesley. Mine seems to be fine now with the interesting padding I've put on for the new boots. A washing up sponge taped on with Micropore
Weather was splendid in Glen Turret. No wind - even at the tops - and wall to wall sun.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Will be thinking of you Liri - not an easy situation. Hope you find somewhere good for her very soon.
Lesley - plantar fasciwotsit is a nightmare - my Dad suffered for months with it. He found that one of the foot roller/massager things really helped - kind of like a cylindrical hedgehog. Looked painful, but apparently quite a nice sensation.
had a good afternoon out in the garden. Dug up all my irises, weeded the patch, added loads of compost and grit, then divided the irises and planted back in. Hoping for a great display, and no weeds, next year.
then went for a bike ride - chain broke half way round so Mr Chicky did his knight in shining armour bit and rescued me. Might make our plans for a day out on the bikes tomorrow a bit complicated
Hello folks! I'm back, covered in speckles of a lovely Hazy Heather-covered Hills sort of colour - emulsion so it should wash off - just had a Chinese takeaway and I'm about to fall asleep in front of Dr Who so I'm going to scrub the paint off in the morning
Wonky and her lovely hub are working too hard, but there's no choice if they're going to get things done in time. Friends are continually popping round to help them and they've made a huge difference already. The plumber/kitchen fitter is arriving on Monday to fit new sink and other units.
I'll read back properly tomorrow, but just picked up on Liri's dilemma ((hugs)).
