Evening all..... Lol the fences are my neighbours and despite their look they are solid I like the green moss stuff on them lol...... Yes fidget around 400 bulbs in that border lol. It's a very shaded border only getting the sun from April to August then it's plummeted into shade due o the sun being low ..... I have been considering a climber.... come summer it's heaving with no room for a thing... Spring brings bulbs and bluebells then the peony and lupins and Shasta daisies but it just looks soooooo sorry for itself ATM I'm going to put a load of astrantia in and after reading this months gw mag carol has given me a ton of ideas!!!!! The other problem I have with it is that its peppered with paving stones just under the surface protecting the previous owners dead pets...... I'm not brave enough to pull them up to see if they have decomposed enough!!!!! I like the clematis idea and am going to invest In two in the spring I think.....liking Armandii verd and of course there are 7 hellebores waiting to pop their heads up!!!
It's pink so no!!!! I would like an evergreen yellow one but guernsey is the one I'm liking and some heuchera lime I think as well..... Mmmmm Xmas money spent me thinks!!
As a warm day I have been doing more digging back around pond area clearing more ivy to make a bit of plant area and clearing out the pond of roots from trees hard to do and muck to try somewhen to get the new pond formed liner in.

Some more famous forkers - KEF, Dovefromabove and Woodgreen wonderboy - well done you lot made it to the GW mag
Trip to GC for me needed want to look around see if any offers on and to see if any nice dogwood colour plants,
My wildflower seeds arrived from nutsncones even a few freebies in there unfortunately instead of wild carrot he sent red clover lol I emailed him offering to send them back once I received the wild carrot seeds his response was lovely " thank you for the kind offer stacey but in light of the fact I sent you the wrong ones ( and they look nothing alike) I would prefer you plant them so you, the butterflies and the bees can enjoy them. Regards Phil"
Been busy decorating the tree with the girls, and daughter no 1 has made loads of biscuits for her Dad's party, and gingerbread men/women for us which we've been decorating in an 'alternative' fashion... Good fun.
About to decorate the 'special' last one - will post photos soon - while she puts her Gingerbread House together.
Not much done outside as the weather has been mostly unsuitable, except for repairs after all the wind and rain. Old fence all came down, but the new one looks like it will withstand nuclear war - the weakest point was the galvanised gate latch on my new side gate as it snapped in two! Most of whips in, the rest are bedded in and will get planted when the weather improves.
Have not read all the posts - too many - so I hope everyone is well and looking forward to Christmas.

Hello everyone - I'm back!
Been busy decorating the tree with the girls, and daughter no 1 has made loads of biscuits for her Dad's party, and gingerbread men/women for us which we've been decorating in an 'alternative' fashion...

Here's a seasonal joke for Verd :
How many reindeer does Santa have?
The answer's 10. Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, Rudolph....and Olive :
" Rudolph the red nosed reindeer had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw it, you would even say it glows.
Olive, the other reindeer, used to laugh and call him names.....

So it's goodnight from me...and goodnight from them...
I'll get my coat....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
