I'm getting excited for you fidget. Don't know why but the cosmos have been poor this year. Think I've got 6/8 but only about 4" high. If I thought they would bloom in time you'd be welcome to them. Fingers crossed that the weather will be kind to you.
Waaaaaaaaaaaay too many comments since breakfast so I'll wish everyone plus OHs pets littluns and parents etc all the best.
After the nightmare at work on Friday, The Boss gave everyone who worked, a free cooked breakfast this morning. Sometimes I love my job.
OH safe and sound " up country" and I've just watered the tunnels so I'm going to settle down with a glass ( or more ) of wine and watch whatever I want to on telly.
Hey, Fidget, has anyone booked the tardis yet? I'm sure we can all dress up in our sparkly best frocks n ties and raise a sparkly glass. Wonder if we could sleep in the woodland by your garden?
We did make an effort, depends what interests you. We did enjoy some of it, but the dirt, crowds, noise and poverty were depressing. I live in France, which is beautiful and there is an NHS and a welfare state.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Back late last night after 10 days in Finland. Photos will follow, tomorrow if I can get on the laptop... suffice it to say for the moment that it was stunningly beautiful but cold, with more mosquitoes than was comfortable (thank Heaven for DEET!).
Greetings to Dachalover - I don't think we've "met". My OH goes to Russia fairly regularly to teach English (usually in Yekaterinburg) and I keep quizzing him about Russian gardens!
However, I'm definitely with Busy-Lizzie in preferring France (and many other places) to the States... though we didn't go to New York, but Tampa in Florida (OH's youth choir were invited to a convention there). Of course, we found some things of interest - but it was hard to live with the attitude we met, that all things American were preferable to anything else (eg the expressed American opinion that every country in the world "needs McDonalds"). I'm sure I'd love the scenery in some parts of America though; New England appeals...
Must read back, if I can find the time!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
When OH and I got together 20 years ago, he had a holiday to Florida booked and begged me to go with him . I was more than happy to stay at home and let him go with his friends.
Just wrote long post and lost it all - jist was we had a lovely day at Woodgreen, gorgeous gardens, loved the changes Woody has made, great to meet Ggirl, failed miserably to take pics, Panda still on her way home, ate lots of cake, and I love NY
Early start tomorrow, so will catch you all tomorrow evening with a full report

I think I'd like the area where "The Horse Whisperer" was filmed.
Lirio. I'm with you.
