Take care, Pat, hope everything gets sorted soon. Hope you're feeling a little better today x
doc - I'd be just like you, it's why I could never have a cleaner
Hosta - I love long tail tits - couldn't eat a whole one though...
We used to get them when I stayed round the corner from where I am just now. They regularly swooped in and flurried around the feeders - especially in the coldest weather - chattering and squabbling. Then they were gone as quickly as they came! Beautiful little things
I need to plant the bulbs I impulse bought a few weeks ago RB, but work, other 'stuff' and sheer idleness keeps getting in the way
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Absolutely shattered, dug out a bed of euphorbia which was taking over. And I have finished replanting the box!
the guys have been pruning trees, more wood! We reckon we have enough for 3yrs
there is rain in the air but not on yet so will crack on
have Phil and Ally on at local hall tonight ( for those south of the border a fiddler and accordian player) they always say it's the most rural gig they do and we have so much fun. Pub for tea first

FG - they're not very big. North American tree rats are a bit more substantial, and quite delicious, I'm told.
Planted some bulbs in someone's garden yesterday and in the process dug up several there already. Anyone know a good method of marking where they are that lasts longer than a few weeks?
Somewhat autumnal here - definite sense of mists and mellow fruitfulness - but calm and dry too.
Steve welcome back, I always take a photo of where Ive planted bulbs. In fact I photo the garden throughout the year so I can see where perennials are and also to spot any available spots. Nerdy I know.
RB, my eye and firstborn's elbow are fine now. Hubby has to go back to the hospital for a check up on Friday, think it's going to be a longer job than he would have liked. Thanks for asking about us.
Feeling lazy today so not planning any gardening, although I have just noticed that my snapdragons have germinated

Think you've got hiccups
Morning all.
DD, I'm glad things are moving along for you.
Pat , sorry you still feel poo.
Hubby left for work at 5.30 this morning. Just as well:just been on local radio there's been an accident on A3 at Guildford, 15 mile tailback.
He'll be finished by 11am and on his way home until Sunday.
Had a lovely surprise when I got up : 6 long tailed tits on the bird feeders.
Half way through the week now guys. Weekend not far off.
Morning all
Sunny but cold here, not sure whether it is Autumn or Winter.
Tidying up ready for the cleaner!
Glad Shadow may be sorted DD, I found myself getting upset thinking about what might happen and then looking at his gorgeous picture.
