a few  sharp showers,,some sun but certainly cooler esp with that wind.  Expected to be a good afternoon

Decided to keep more of my dahlias in the ground this winter.......less to overwinter in the greenhouse. only those I want more of will be dug up and divided and potted.

Same here Verdun, suns very hot now, so just off to do some digging up of even more Montretias, and dahlias I won't want to keep.

Oops! Spoke too soon, hammering down now. That's that plan scuppered.

    Afternoon all.

Lyn, I'll give your unwanted dahlias a home if you want.

OH just called. He eventually got to work at 13.25, 6 hours after leaving.

Now he's not going to finish his job to-day and will have to back in the morning so he'll be late home.

Ditto regarding sharp showers and sun.

I've a date in the hot tunnel with some tomorite.

    Hi allimage

Been awOL with intermittent wifi down here so it was a shock to read the news from Verdun and DD.  Verdun that attack was horrific.  Plenty of support for your niece and her friends needed now.  I have 'spoken' to DD on another thread.

Pat I'm glad you're feeling a little better nowimage.  Bushman I'm glad you're recovering and able to go on holiday.  Have a lovely relaxing time and take in the viewsimage

The box wouldn't give me any more roomimage.  Just being cheeky Pat but who else were you ignoring apart from Panda? Lolimage

Sorry Yvie that I didn't comment on your Mum being out of hospital.  Good news and I hope she regains her strength now sh's backimage.

Lizzie your holiday sounded quite an adventure.  Those roads are so steep I can imagine how frightening it was to see rocks hurtling down themimage.  Beautiful place though in nice weatherimage

Far too much to remember so will have a read back properly later.  Back to the weeding for me.

Hosta - lovely that you've had the contact with your niece and all is well. Hope it continues image

Glad you had a good holiday BL - if somewhat exciting! No chance of a rest if you're watching grandchildren though....you'll need another holiday! image

Lesley - I've posted on DD's thread re Shadow, and happy to sort something with you if she goes ahead with transporting him. image

Verd- what possesses people to be posting on that b****y facebook in those circumstances? Even if it's to offer support to the victim's family and friends ( the only ones who should have support ) surely you do that privately? It's all 'me, me, me' nowadays.

    Or am I old fashioned...image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Evenng all.

Just spoken with hubby. After taking 6 hours to travel 30 miles to work, he went out to his car at 4pm and noticed a flat tyre.

No spare with Civics so an hour with the nice man from AA to find another tyre £85 ,thanks. NOT.

He's still at work and will have to work until lunchtime tomorrow before heading home.

Hope everyone has had a better day than that.
