Hi Dove. We 're got predictions of approx 30 for a few days and today was uncomfortable. Hubby has been out and about with the big tote tank on the back of the ute, watering trees around the place. I've been lazing around inside with occasional forays to change soaker hoses in the veg garden.
What a lovely sky Dove. It's still too dark to see much outside yet but I can see debris on the back step and think we've lost a fascia board from the corner of the house. It's been blowing a hooley from early evening yesterday.
No Christmas shopping at weekends for me either. Monday or Tuesday mornings are the best. Thank goodness I'm not working Good luck Verdun.
Hope you can keep cool Pat - that's a bit too warm for my liking
Morning all - early start today after OH's work phone went at 6.30am calling him into work. He is not a happy bunny - we were going to our annual cycle club photo competition this evening but he now won't be home till 10.30pm. Ridiculously long day...
On the plus side I got to share Dove's amazing sunrise - pink & purple then bright red fading through orange to gold and yellow with just the right amount of high cloud to set it off - stunning.
Today I shall continue to work through the Christmas preparation list. All presents now wrapped and cards written so now starting on the 'spring' clean of the house. Big SM delivery tomorrow bringing 4 weeks worth of heavy & bulky stuff like cat food, cleaning materials, loo rolls and (most important) booze.
Have had to queue twice this week to get into the SM car park (it's in the town centre) and it's only gonna get worse over the next couple of weeks - trips will now be planned with military precision ...
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Dove, I keep checking to see if anything has melted yet, but so far, o.k.it just feels as though I'm melting. HRH has spent the day flopped beside me. Lovely sunrise Photo.
Verdun, be carful of sharp elbows!
Lesley, hello to you too. My Christmas shopping is limited to putting cash in envelopes for children and grandchildren. (Gross, I know , but it's what they like). Easy Peasy!

Sunrise this morning
It had started to fade by the time I got my camera out, but it was still pretty amazing.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I would melt in that sort of heat Pat

Hi Topbird, you slipped in there while I was typing.
Morning all. Shrouded in fog.
Pat, 30° is what it often is here in Dordogne, can go up to 35°. I hate it like that.
Must make a start on Christmas cards.
