Good morning all - have been lying in bed watching the moon with a halo around it, but now the street lights are on so it's not so clear so II thought I'd get up and see what you lot were chatting about last night - I was knitting
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
sorry to hear about Oscar, Matty. Hope he continues to improve day by day.
Cake now marzipanned, plus family have rallied round this year and allocated themselves tasks in the pre- christmas frenzy (including OH), which will be abig help. Even nicer that they did it without prompting! So littlest Chicklet is on bedroom preparation duty, Chicklet is making biscuits and snacks and Mr Chicky is on bathroom cleaning. Now all i need to do is make some more lists to mastermind the whole operation...... Do you think General Montgomery was a list maker??
wild and windy yesterday evening. Oh was three cars behind when a tree came down on the main road, hitting a car in front. He then helped out with 999 calls (luckily the guy in the car was unharmed, but shaken), and stopping the traffic further up the road where it was wide enough for people to turn round. Unfortunately all he got for that bit of citizenship was abuse from people who were annoyed they were going to have to divert their journeys ...... Unbelievable....
Morning all. I'm going to wish you all a very happy Christmas, a bit early, but dont think I'll be around much over the festivities. So hope you all have a fantastic time with family and friends, lots of merriment, dun and mincepies. See you in the new year. XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxX (no smileya again but I send loads but of the invisible type!).
Chicky also glad that no-one hurt. A lot of stressed, crabby and ill mannered people at the minute. Only took Mum to local Coop but the looks on people's faces when she was in their way , I hope Santa forgets their pressies.
Out to lunch with a friend today. Will be good to hear her Christmas plans and have a laugh or two.
Hope last night's weather hasn't done any damage for anyone. We had some rain but nothing too bad.
Panda, help, panic!! Only 2 days and we are away with my children this weekend. Guests for Christmas, most of house still needs cleaning, tree to decorate, shopping this morning, another Carol Service on Friday.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Lizzie, I've adopted the policy that if it gets done it gets done, if not use the dimmer switches. Have a good time with family & ply Christmas guests with booze. Merry Christmas see you in 2014.
Dove isn't it your son's Birthday soon? Seem to remember you saying you used to trim up after his B/D. If so all the best to him. Hope it's not his pressie you're still knitting
