Clari - I've just read back ((hugs))  just look at all that you have done!!!  And your veg etc is way ahead of me and I've got all the time in the world!!!

Take it steadily and gently, enjoy what you're doing, and it'll all happen ((hugs))image

p.s. Clari, Dave is outdoor so get him potted on and soon as no frost harden him off and bung him O/s in a planter / pot.  I got my first toms last year from Dave rather than GH ones. image

Hi, all, I spent a pleasant afternoon at Felley Priory .  A steep walk up the hill to the bluebell wood, but wow, was it worth it. I have never seen such a thick carpet of bluebells. I will post pictures later. I have a builders bag of gravel coming tomorrow, so I can fill the raised herb bed up. Now all I have to do is get the neighbours to park on their drives, instead of across my rear access.....

Still if they get it scraped by a huge pallet lorry, maybe they'll answer the door next time I ask them to shift it.

You've all been busy bees and sounds like everyone has had lovely days.  I was busy working, no time in the garden even though there is desperate weeding to be done image Then parent's evening for LO tonight which went far better than expected so well done to my new teenager image

Then for the best bit of the day....a huge pile of ironing.  I kid you not, music on and the most amazing sunset observed as the sky changed by the minute from the spare bedroom window as I worked my way through the pile, the sky was orange/pink for over an hour and there was still a pink glow on the horizon when it was dark, absolutely beautiful and one reason why I love living on the west coast image

KEF, image At the Aubergine comment, it's me that is attempting for the first time to grow them.....at least I'll be prepared when they fail image

Dove, how lovely getting a surprise present and a surprise purchase image

Right, off to catch up elsewhere.

feeling kinda crippled after planting out a couple of conifers were i planted them the bed is a few inches of top soil then had to break through a layer of concrete before shifting mostly rocks for the next couple of feet.

on the positive side it is otherwise a perfect location as it marks off the divide between my messy anything goes garden and my landlords formal buxus thule  (?) and clipped lawns.

think i need an oil can for my joints ...
