Beans, beetroot and courgettes picked. Peas coming to an end, I don't sow in stages as I've always wanted the space for winter / spring crops. I have a cunning plan to make another vegetable bed and use the pea space for flowers, but because they have finished so soon I think OH might notice if flowers appear and not more veg.

Morning all, Hope you have a great trip Ed it sounds fantastic. Its a bit grey here this morning but no rain forecast until tomorrow. Im going to get Hubby to mow the lawns later havent done them since the real hot weather started but if rains in the offing then it should be OK now. As I said rain is forecast, am I suprised? No. After all my big pink garden umberella arrived yesterday along with matching pink cushions. Hubby is having a fit! Wait till he sees the pink flowery bunting I ordered the other day. Ha Ha Not sure what I feel like doing today, certainly not housework that can wait for the rain, even if we are running out of things to wear. Catch up later, bye.

My OH home now from night shift so now he is asleep I can get a wriggle on too, lots of jobs on my list but may get a crafty plug order in first
Gosh it was warm work! Grass is now much shorter Feeling better for it Might have run over some grasshoppers, I did see them getting out of my way but not a sure if they jumped high or far enough
Am off out again tonight for dinner Aren't I a lucky girl
Hello folks I've been such a good girl - instead of playing in the garden I've spent all day waxing and polishing the downstairs floors - rolling heavy rugs and heaving furniture - the floor looks lovely (I really should do it more often )
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Did the SM run and prepared at M's for a B/day gathering on Sat.
OH has been brill and I only needed to help at bit up the ladder, only a few more small pieces of glass to fit and my replacement GH is finished. Fitted all glass himself, but lovely neighbours helped with concrete base. Too warm to finish glass now as it's like an oven in there, but all is safe and wind proof
