Lesley, sometimes she makes so much noise you would think there were 6 children in her garden.
RB, thanks lol was hoping for a peaceful summer! Sometimes it is her brother tormenting her, but she knows it annoys (all the)neighbours and does when she's out there on her own. At least its peaceful weekdays till school finishes. And then we look forward to their summer holidays lol........a peaceful 2 weeks!
Off out to cut the grass.......you can still hear her above that tho!!!!
It is quite a responsibility Rb but you know what you're doing and you get help with yours. Enjoy the preparation for your hols. Can't remember if you said where you were going but it's always lovely to have a change of scenery
Good luck Verdun - maybe he should get some nice old-fashioned hand tools - power tools are soooooooooo noisy and antii-social. If diplomacy doesn't work, what about a smokey bonfire when the wind's in the right direction - that'd send him indoors (only joking).
Well, both lawns are mowed, but I only got one border edged 'cos the strimmer ran out of blue string and I'd forgotten to get a replacement when I fitted the last reel - I suppose I'll have to go to the GC (again) later in the week
Now there's some goosegrass to remove from around the clematis.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Verdun know what you mean about neighbours. My next door neighbour is leaving and we will be getting new people. He's keen on music and I don't usually mind but his wife moved out and he was a bit depressed and for a while played the most awful miserable blues music. It used to make me feel depressed too. We also have someone at the back of our house who is obsessed with pressure hosing everything. As soon as the sun shines out it comes and he's at it all day, drives me mad.
I'm currently looking after loads of plants from my friends garden as she is moving house. She has potted up everything from an Acer to forget me nots. She's not much of a gardener and has put them in all sorts of containers (montbretia in a mop bucket is my particular favourite) many without any drainage holes so it's proving a bit of a challenge to keep them alive.
Weather a bit mixed here today, I don't think we have any rain forecast so I will be going out to pot up the remaining pots and remove a few weeds.
I find it sad that there's such a lack of consideration with many people. I have a right to some peace and privacy in my garden - every bit as much as they have a right to let their children play in theirs, but they don't play in their gardens and they scream and yell constantly at full volume. When mine were young they weren't allowed to be like that and the neighbouring children were the same. The ones at the back of me are horrendous - like living next to Alton Towers. The daughter's a screamer - takes after the mother - and the boy is a really vile, unpleasant child who bullies the sister. No wonder she screams
Contemplating cleaning the bathroom. Weather must be bad
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hi all can any one identify the above plant its growing at the edge of a hedge and is about four feet round and 3 feet high looks like its about to flower possible white or yellow ??
If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.

Morning All,
I thought it was B&B too, but don't tell anyone.

Yvie - a mop bucket's the best place for it!
