Yvie - not much I can add to what others have said. I'm crossing my fingers for you all. Bad enough having one of those situations to deal with , never mind all of them at the same time. That's a whole flock of robins, not just one. Why do we seem to be so hopeless at looking after our elderly people - in hospitals, or anywhere else for that matter?
Hope all other unwell peeps - and horses - are a bit better today. Take sleep where you can get it RB
Liri - re knees - I can only say that I couldn't do the walking I'm doing without the knee brace I bought. It supports the muscles round the knee. I have patella femoral pain, which means the bottom of the thigh bone scrapes the back of the kneecap. Going downhill is excruciating. No pain with the brace on, but without it, I'm stuck at the top! I'm not saying it can sort your OH's situation but it might be worth investigating - perhaps there could be a simple solution.
Hi David
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thanks for that, Fairy. I know he's tried a knee brace when the pain's bad, but there are several different sorts, I think. Does yours have a hole over the kneecap, and velcro straps fastening it round the back?
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Hello folks - got the car back in full working order and checked over for our holiday- they charged less than they said over the phone! I shall use them again.
I've just had a sandwich for lunch and now I'm yawning - why does eating bread always make me feel tired
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
WAKE UP It's only 3pm 27 years old don't need naps. I will be awake for another 6 hours after staying up last night until early hours watching Prime Suspect, I knew the end so why did I stay up
Grass cut at Mum's by OH it's been hard work, long and lush after all the rain, I've got her SM shopping done and away and also a few jobs, so now home. I was going to have a sit down in the garden but it's blinking raining...again !!
Hi all, Thanks for the good wishes, mum has been xrayed and nothing broken just bruised. They put a camera down yesterday and she has an inflamed oesophagus, apparently it's been bleeding but no ulcer so hopefully she will be out of hospital soon.
Firstborn has Cellulites in her elbow (at first they thought it was arthritis).
No news on hubby's op and I still look like I've gone three rounds with Mike Tyson.
Haven't felt like or had the time to do any gardening, hopefully I'll be able to do a bit tomorrow (note to self must check the weather).
Commiserations to all those with poorly knees, I'm not going to moan about mine, I've done enough for one day, I'll just keep rubbing the ibruprofen on it. Anyway it's my own fault for walking into the door frame.
Been to another dentist today re implant situation and he totally disagrees with what the first one says so I'm back to square one. Think I'll just have them all out and get a nice set of dentures
Yvie I'm really pleased to hear your Mum hasn't broken anything and hope she does get out of hospital soon. Cellulitis is horrible though, Hope your daughter has a quick recovery. My son suffers with in in his leg so I know how much pain she will be in. As for your ailments - have you checked your ears. That man has a reputation.
Had a busy day shopping and cleaning and yawning. I know I shouldn't be at 27. Early tea tonight as half the household have bowling competition. SYL

Aargh... just seen the huge black clouds marching towards my washing, with evil intent...
Should know better than to trust the Met Office.
That's sneaky. Forecast has changed since 7.30am & now predicts 30% chance of rain at 12, 50% chance at 1pm... instead of 10% chance all day.
Love goldfinches, Punkdoc! And they love the sunflower hearts I put out.
But this morning there was a pile of goldfinch feathers on the lawn
A flock of 40 must have been quite a sight!
Hi all. Quick look in for me as i'm having lunch.

In need of a power nap before more paper work

Afternoon all.
Given up labelling hostas as those remaining require more clambering than my knee will allow.
Used over half the packet of 200 labels already, on top of the 50 odd I used yesterday.
Siesta does sound tempting.
I had a count up as I went along. 98 named varieties. about a dozen or so with faded labels I can't identify.
WAKE UP
