  • RB, hope your son is  feeling a little better. Have been thinking of you all day. Very best wishes and lots of love to you and your family xx

  • Good morning all image G'day Pat if you're around image

I'm up, showered and dressed 'cos the Tree Men Cometh around 8am - well that's the time they said - will it be light?

GWRS - hedgehogs will be hibernating any time now - their routines are changing, they're not visiting as regularly and I think that as soon as the temperature drops this weekend they'll be snuggled down in leafpiles, hedge bottoms and hoggie houses image

    Morning all.

Our weather station broke just in time for the weather to get interesting. Neither of my vehicles has a temp gauge in and its possibly a bit excessive to sit in my partners car just to see how cold it is.

I feel strangely lost without it!

Morning Dove, those to come, and evening Pat

It's sad when a tree has to come down, but the new space is exciting image

Spin class this morning, then it's tiling again...all dayimage.  I'm aching a bit and the work is grotty but it won't do itself

  • The first tree man arrived at 7.30!!!  A mug of coffee has been provided and he's getting set up with the shredder etc.    Bless him, he remembered that I'd said there was a hedgehog in the garden and he's checked that it wasn't anywhere near the tree image

Morning all and afties Pat. Hope you've had a good day.

An igloo might be an idea for Dove's spot Verd image

W'song - tiling's a thankless task - it's quick enough doing the big bits but the fiddly ones...image  Light at the end of the tunnel for you now though image

Off for a quick look round before I go to t'mill. Get yer simmits and mitts on and keep warm image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • It'll be sunnier than the other beds, so some grasses and perennials that like more sun than the ones I can grow in the rest of the garden, are the plan Verdun - mainly southwest facing and with shelter from the remaining ash tree which is in the SE corner of the garden.
