Morning all. As usual there's been so much interesting chat to read, that I can't remember what everyone said. I really enjoy reading them.  It seems as though everyone is on the mend, even Archie.  I can really relate to the pleasure GWRS has with eating his produce - I love producing vegs for us. Which reminds me, was it Lirio?, who spoke about raw beans - can't risk looking back. I always have a feed of raw beans while I'm in the garden. They are so sweet and crunchy.  i also eat raw zucchini when they are small, for the same reason. Also love munching on parsley stems.image

i imagine the bird feathers mean that a cat enjoyed the sunflower bonanza as well!  I also can relate to trying to catch photos of wildlife and standing there for ages.  We have a pair of very large hares that appear from nowhere and then in the blink of an eye, they are racing away as if there is a monster after them.

Pat,huge numbers of migrants trying to enter Germany via Hungary .

I once sat on a plane from England to Amsterdam with a woman, living in Melbourne, born in  Holland , married to a man , born in Italy, saying , and I quote. " there are too many immigrants in Australia now"

It was on the tip of my tongue to say " I'm sure Aboriginals have been saying saying this for hundreds of years."

Ah! Now I understand. I've seen footage on TV of them making a run for it, in large numbers.  Didn't notice the faces of the police, just stunned at the numbers of people surging over obstacles. I'm sure the aboriginals wouldn't be the only ones.image

it's a truly  hideous situation. I have no idea what is the solution ,but I feel for these people, as one would have done for the Jews fleeing nazi  Germany 70 years ago.

Hosta, that's a really funny Story! We whites have been here so long now, that it's not much use the original inhabitants complaining, now.  I once had a Greek neighbour who complained to me about the Asian migrants in Australia. She said they bring nothing to the country!   I suppose she doesn't eat their particular style of food. image
