    Morning all.

Heavy rain woke me from drunken stupor. Good night, beef cheek with bone marrow and truffle mash, plus far too much wine.

Strange that OHs friends seem far more forgiving of my "issues", than my own "friends".

Boggy bed is now officially a pond, drought to flood in one night, I love our weather!

DD I hope you can sort out Shadow, as others have said he is young so can be trained.

Hosta, the gardens at Chatsworth can be lovely and the grounds are usually full of sculptures, We often walk along the river there, so only pay for car parking.

Runnybeak, we watched The Hobbit part 2 DVD last night, then my heart missed a beat. There was this really good looking chap I thought I recognised. Poldark!

    Afternoon all!  image

Rain has stopped at last, but the garden is very soggy...  image

DD, so sorry to hear of your doggy troubles.  Lily P's advice sounds really good - Shadow is young enough to be trained out of bad behaviour, I'm sure.  A worry for you in the meantime though...

Off to see Mum, then I'll see if I can thin the rocket and lettuce before it rains again  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

£12 for a garden only ticket at Chatsworth, didn't notice there's parking on top.

    Might give it a miss.

Sun has come out. I've so much to do, I feel guilty about going away.

Back Tuesday afternoon, so not too long away.

    Devon.

oh that's just fantasticimage the bottoms fallen off the walnut cake and it was meant to be FILs birthday cake image, can't even blame it on son image. Never did know if to take it out of the tin straight away or when it's cooled ? Only got old tins that you can't pop the bottom off so to speak image

Right that's it, I'm off to have a chat to the plantsimage

Actually managed to get some gardening done.  Planted some daffodils from pots that had gone over, moved some honesty and removed loads of grape hyacinths (will still have lots of plants next year).  Sun is still out here but rain forecast again later today.

Hostafan - it says that parking's free if you book your entry tickets online at least 24 hours in advance http://www.chatsworth.org/book-tickets-and-prices

Leave a To Do List in the polytunnel and smile nicely at Verdun - I'm sure he'll send some Cornish Piskies over the Tamar to do a bit of gardening for you image
