Think I need to go to Monterrey soon, looked great and we didn't see Humpbacks in the Arctic.

Won't be next year though, as I have just finished organising a combined: walking, boating and 4WD safari in Botswana.

Morning all. I've been catching up on 4-5 pages of messages from you all, but it's been fun.  You are all doing interesting things - and the FOOD!  Lucky I've just had a nice cup of coffee in bed.  Because Hubby has been sick from food poisoning the last couple of days, I've been scratching around the freezer for left-overs for myself, so made do with some chicken curry last night and Turkish pizza for lunch.  I'll probably need to start building up the supply again soon. Made Hubby a pot of chicken broth last night and gave him a bowl full (strained).  He lined up for seconds, so it must have been ok. He's made me coffee this morning, so I think he's nearly over it, except for sore ribs, which we've put down to all the vomiting muscle strain.

We've had rain overnight and the prediction is for more for at least 3 days - hard to believe after weeks of dry weather. Not complainning.very overcast and a bit cool.  I keep thinking that autumn and spring are the " in-between" seasons and they seem to be the most unstable both here and over there where you are.

hope you all have a good Monday.imageimageimage

Morning all,  First one to post.  That doesn't happen very often.  As you have probably guessed I didn't sleep last night.  Mainly due to lots and lots of gnat bites (note to self, get some insect repellant).

Will be spending today at the hospital with Hubby, I'm hoping we wont be there as long as last time.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Botswana sounds exciting Pdoc - hope the hiking bit is away from big animalsimage.

And hope LilyP's swallow found his way outside.  Once spent a night with a starling behind our wardrobe .....not much sleep was had, but he flew off happily the next morning looking none the worse for his ordeal.

got a full week at work this week - that'll be a shock to the system ....I'll be needing a day off by Tuesdayimage.

    best get started ......

Morning Jo and Chicky.  P'doc Botswana does sound exciting, wonder if you will bump into Mma Ramotsweimage. Once went on Safari in Kenya, it was wonderful seeing the wildlife up close.

Hope all salt miners have a good day.

Morning all. Only one more week of school holidays before we can go back to normality and I can hopefully go at least a week without getting heat stroke: I've had it at least once every week being out at events near every day including having to pull over on my way home to throw up and pour water all over myself to get my temperature down.

Of course we'll soon be complaining its so cold but due to injury I can't regulate my temperature very well and at least in cold weather its easier to get a hot water bottle!

Mind you I don't think I've a day off in September so chances of my garden getting any tlc this year is slim! Got the lawn cut yesterday and composted a few more dead bits but in terms of the grand scheme and major changes I want to make I think I stand a better chance of meeting the queen.

    Good morning all image

Rain overnight but dry this morning so far - but I'm pretty sure we've got more coming.

I also had an Itchy & Scratchy night Yvie - serves me right for staying out so late in the garden on Saturday - but the bats, frogs and hedgehogs were soooooooo wonderful to watch.  Hope all goes well re the hospital visit.

Pdoc - have a great trip - when is it you're going?

Haven't been proper sailing since my teens - apparently Wonky's new job may involve some sailing expeditions (and getting paid for it!)  - lots of good sailing along the Suffolk coast - our NDNs' boat is berthed at Lowestoft they've just had a fortnight going down the coast to the Orwell estuary, then up to the Alde estuary at Orford and the Blyth at Southwold.  Did you know that Swallows & Amazons was set on the Orwell Estuary and the Broads?  So many people think it was about the Lake District image
