Himself has got a two day job in Aarhus ,Denmark, next week, so I'm going to go with him to keep him off the danish pastries. There is a big botanical garden near the hotel so I can go wandering. Will I need my thermal underwear do you think? Its ryanair, so not much luggage allowance.
Sunny here at the mo but black clouds looming on the horizon - heavy rain forecast from 11am onwards. The garden has had a good watering over the last week. It is amazing how much fresher and perkier everything looks from getting a good drink. Was looking quite tired and 'gone over' 2 weeks ago - now starting to look as it should .
Holiday plans sound very exciting P'doc - would love to do a safari.
Steve - we might be available as crew when our time is our own - but for now life & work gets in the way of nice stuff. 123 weeks time (not that we're counting you understand...)
Fidget - OH goes to Aarhus a bit for work. He is usually on ridiculously early (3.30 am) starts when he goes there - not good as it is supposed to be the party capital of Denmark. Usually stag and hen doos. He wasn't impressed that there was set of ear plugs on the pillow instead of a chocolate when he went for the first time! Think he quite enjoys it really if he has a chance to look around. Hope you have a good time!
Pat - glad OH is on the mend
Office day for me today so best get dressed
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Good morning. Don't think you'll need thermals Fidget
Hope all goes well (and quickly) for OH today Yvie. Pdoc are you hoping to take over from Michael Palin as a world traveller. Sounds like another exciting adventure
LilyP I hope the swift has found it's freedom by now.
Pat, glad OH is recovering but you've made me think that I need to defrost the freezer and start refilling it. SM first today though. It's second son's birthday and he has requested M&S chicken drumsticks for a snack in the hour he has after work before going bowling. Don't know why he's still at home - we hardly see him
Have a good day, or as good a day as possible for the saltminers
Good morning, our feathered friend seems to have found his way home ok
Doc sounds adventurous and exciting
Had a wonderful trip to Dumfries House even if the fire alarm went off half way thro house tour and we had to evacuate. Tickets refunded so a great reason to go back.
The gardens were inspirational I will post photos on different thread
have a good day

Good morning Verdun that's what I like to hear - get all that rain used up before we arrive down there We've got tickets for The Minack - don't want rain!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Fairygirl, for goodness sake, try not to get that hot! I absolutely hate being overheated. I used to sit the bath with bathers on here when it got hot, but we had a reverse cycle air conditioner installed in both our bedroom and lounge, so I can at least get out of it in February.
my first Hubby was from Aarhus. I've never been overseas. I depend on all those lovely travel shows on TV And of course the cycling tours - Spain has started, yes!
Fidget - hope I didn't get you worried there. It's Aalborg (spelling?) that's the party capital - not Aarhus. Love Denmark (all Scandinavian countries in fact) - sure you'll have a great time!

Still in pain from the back, so doing that thing that all doctors hate doing, seeing a doctor. At least I can usually get a GP appointment fairly quickly.
Torrential rain again yesterday, so garden looking a bit flattened.
Dove, sadly Botswana not till next summer, but needed to be booked early, due to the number of separate activities in different parts of the country, with internal flights etc, that needed organising.
Have a lovely day whatever you are doing.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team

Morning each.
Overcast here but still warm.
Mater returning from Normandy today so I need to tidy up her flat and cook us some dinner. Several tomatoes ripe for her delectation...
Hope everyone has a good day
