Back from a lovely walk.  Jekka startled two ducks as she approached the burn but think she had the bigger fright,as she jumped three feet into the air and ran behind meimage.

LilyP after lifting ice half an inch thick off the birdbath I inspected the plants and all seem to have survived.  Hope your camellia does tooimage.

Morning all. Didn't post yesterday as was very busy see  http://www.gardenersworld.com/forum/talkback/anyone-done-any-gardening-today/590988-67.html

You've all written such a lot! Wasn't the weather any good for gardening?image Taken ages catching up.

I have the same weather as DD, rain. When OH gets back from choir workshop we are going to lunch at the Wok place then go to supermarket. Before that I will clean the blue bedroom as Matty is coming to stay, if she's well enough. First, Tuesday, I'm going to stay with her and we'll go to the Malvern Spring Show.image

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Good to see you, Bekkie.  Blubber probs?  You & me both...  image

Half-inch ice, Lesley?  Cor.  My little bit of frost pales into insignificance.

Great to hear Shadow's more himself.  Hope Flatface is recovering too, Wonky.

Hope you and Beau are getting enough time to enjoy your new(ish) garden, Beaus Mum.  Bet it's all springing to life now!  image

Am off to Burnley today.  (I know - I really know how to live...)  No, actually it's good - OH is playing golf, so I'm spending a couple of hours visiting the nearby garden centre.  image  No specific plans for purchases, but you never know where the sticky labels will strike.  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Morning all cold here first thing but sun is trying very hard to push through, not a lot in the garden today, taking OH to hospital for yearly check up CT, MRI scans and chat with consultant and MS nurse.

Then a visit to GC for some retail therapy if time allows image

Enjoy your day all whatever your doing.

If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.

Couldn't tell if we had frost, am up too late image I doubt it though as we have had very few frosts at all this year image I did bring in Ma and Pa's tomato plants that I'm babysitting (while they go on a cruise) just in case image

Lizzie, hope you have a lovely time with Matty (I know it's a few days off but I'll likely forget!

No gardening for me today, the APs have more plants they are dropping off for babysitting - these will fit in the cold frame image Then I'm having my claws done as I'm off for a friend's hen night. Am staying over so won't be around till later tomorrow.

    Dove, enjoy your stomp image

Glad the cats and dogs are doing better image

Right off to get dressed and pack my overnight bag image

I leave them 'cos lots of them have pretty fluffy feathery seedheads.

I can't remember what varieties you've got - some need cutting back after flowering, especially in their first year.
