Hi Clari, bet you are bored to tears if there's nothing to do.
I'm waiting until it's time to start getting ready to go out, not going until 6.30pm. Wonder whatever used to take me so long ? In my late teens / twenties it was a 3 hour job.
I've finally done all the cards and car delivered them.
Suppose I could make a list of what's needed for Xmas dinner, but not in the mood. Could do the last bit of ironing, but most def' not in a mood for that.
Oh, I must announce that I've found the feather duster that I lost in May. It was hiding in a long narrow box that contains the battery operated lawn edger...don't ask, it was a pressie the lawn thing not the duster. How it got in there I don't know. Don't think I've ever dusted under the influence.
KEF - Wikipedia has been supplying me with information all afternoon. Now if only I had a brain to absorb it all. Trouble with not having any work to do means that I've plenty of time to "add" to my to do list at home. At this rate I wont have time to come to work! Oh if only I had that not insignificant lottery win meaning I could retire and devote more time to the ironing / washing / dusting / trips to the tip /garden centre / sweeping up the leafs.
A battery operated lawn edger? That sounds more effort than the normal lawn edge type cutters! It sounds like one of those delightfully "useful" gifts people buy. Do you have to get it out every so often and pretend how you love it?
Clari, I've never used it, it came with a rechargable battery operated little trimmer thing, used that once on the heather bed. Think the gift was a Telegraph offer. I am asked from time to time if I've used them, yes of course. I can't dispose of them because the person bought herself one and loves it, so if hers breaks she might ask to borrow mine.
I think the battery lawn edgers "only" work if your edges are already gun-barrel straight and a perfect 90 degree angle to the horizontal. Otherwise they are perfect!

Yes I did buy another, haven't left it since May.
