Morning Allimage  Just been out to check GH and heard my first cuckoo of the yearimage

Raining steadily here, and has been all night.  GH babies all survived their first night outside - even the badly flagging cucumbers have revived from their post transplant sulk.

    and now....... to workimageimage

Good morning Chicky image  Sorry you have to go to work image  But lucky you hearing the cuckoo! image

Bill, sorry to hear about those roses image  What a shame.

We've had a little rain overnight - enough to water in the Weed & Feed - that's because I'd already watered it in image  Not enough to top up the water butts tho - but they're promising us more rain in the next few days - after that I'll be hoiking out the Purple Sprouting and sowing some Buerre de Roquencourt beans image

Mizzley here - everything's wet but the downpipes aren't really running and the birds are still visiting the feeders

Morning all. Cloudy here but not much rain forecast so glad I haven't done my weed n feed yet Dove!

Got some more trellis painted yesterday afternoon and evening, in between assisting daughter in making the roast dinner. She did well though. image

Off for a look round as I wasn't on last night. Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning, gentle rain here due to my having the hose out yesterday. Planted my pink/red cornus, name evades me at this time of a morning. Topped up my pots. Today will be a GH day cosmos to pot on and veg to sow.

Bill sorry to hear about your roses image

Dove your pond is looking well established. image

Hi Wintersong nice to have you back.

    Morning Dove!

Oh the sparrows in this garden seem to be near stuck to the feeders regardless of the weather right now! I've put a hanging basket frame over my flat feeder to put the pigeons off (they're the size of turkeys!) As they're so destructive.  I've also a blackbird with a white tail that's sat in the hedge waiting for it to cheer up - lovely bird but as my partner puts it "a real asshole" if anything bigger than a finch tries to come in the garden!

We put a new waterbutt up on the ManShed yesterday - I'll check tonight if we got the drainpipes on right!image

    Back to work today...

The birds are enjoying the mealworms I've been putting out, but I do the same as you - under a basket so the magpies don't hoover up the whole lot. The little birds are all quite used to using it.

Would like more tea KEF but won't have time to drink it before I go....well maybe if I hurry...not sure I can hurry to do anything today though image
