Well its very quite on here tonight. Garden watered baby Lupins and hollyhocks potted on.  Penstemmon cuttings have rooted so they have been potted up too.  Itching is returning so Im just going to take another antihistamine with this nice glass of wine  and that short sort that out.  Now back to my book and see what I can move tomorrow....

Sorry Yvie, the weather app on my phone said rain, ive watered too, just incase! image

Panda, it must be easier to train OH rather than dig a 6ft holeimage

OL bash the lavender first, it will be smellier! Basil will survive over winter at home but as with all things that we grow when we shouldnt, it will be prone to all kinds of things, but you can always sow more image, try a piece of toast at bed time, even half a piece will help image

Hi Panda, glad you had a good day.

yes agree with bekkie, prob easier to teach OH to water garden, wouldn't fancy digging a 6ftx6ft deep hole in this heat phewwwww image

Evening all. Night night Pauline imageimage

Had a busy afternoon in between the rain. Everything is nicely watered now.  Shifted some plants around and replaced the bottom piece of timber in the raised bed along back fence. Bit of a faff but necessary and I kept putting it off. My canna has a big flower spike so looking forward to that opening. I could have dug a big hole today - nice and cool instead of the heat we've had for ages. image

Just keep sowing a little pot of basil OL. It germinates so quickly on a windowsill, and you're right  - it's a delight to eat. Tomatoes will be ripening soon hopefully - I was a bit late with mine this year, but they're looking good so far.

Thanks for my hugs image  I get very silly. image Yesterday I found a dead bee on a tomato leaf in one of the growhouse. He had plenty of room to get out as the door was open all night  but he must have got stuck. They're just so beautiful and perfect  and I felt very sad when I saw him. I buried him in the corner of one of the new apple containers  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Volunteered today SVSC so much litter picking done lots of rubbish, weird that so many weeds - wild flowers are looking good even in the heat but the flower plants here in the garden struggle with the heat

after bit of lunch - I made pastry then the filling mix for little quiches for dinner

lot later on I watered the garden found some little green small tomatoes bees must have spotted the flowers

Woody well done for going to the garth nursery and finding some goodies

    Good morning all image

Still no  rain here - we were promised heavy showers last night but nothing so far.  It's overcast here but they don't look like rain clouds.
