Welcome Bitterknitter - I'm originally from Southampton (well Hythe really - just a ferry ride away).
I get the not being able to correct stuff LP - happens a lot now, but never used to before about a week ago
On a train home from my Rembrandt evening - amazing . What a treat - had it to ourselves (invited as a guest of something connected with work). Incredible how he used a paintbrush to create such light. Always thought of him as a "brown" painter, but I have been completely missing the point
Have just seen DD's great news, although we all knew that's the result we expected.. Good luck with all the preparation. Enjoy.
Welcome BitKnit. Like Chicky I hail from Soton, and now live up the road in the New Forest. Gardengirl is local to you also.
Busy day in garden yesterday. Sorted dahlia bed, which now sleeps 'neath a blanket of mulch for the winter; and planted some roses saved from the terrace bed before those works took place.
Sadly discovered demise of a large Eleagnus bush, which I knew had a bit of dieback, but which has almost disappeared!! Now see it as an opportunity, perhaps to plant a conifer or two. Will dig it all out before I decide.
No gardening today, as too wet and need time for a bit of preparation for the AGM of the Village hortisoc.
