I am so pleased for you getting into the garden scheme, I bet you are over the moon image

  • Good morning all image

BitKnit - I'm a knitter too, and OH and I are painters (amongst other things)  I did my degrees at Norwich, OH did his BA at Norwich and his MA at Chelsea - several of our friends got seduced by animation along the way !  Enjoy your time as a student image

Well folks, I'm off to meet a friend at Cambs University Botanic Gardens today - I'll take my camera for any autumn colour that's still about - that's if it's not bucketing down from the heavens!   As this is a friend from the  Food forum that I'm also on, if the weather is awful we can concentrate on the cakes! image

Morning all. Damp but very mild 8 degrees when I took daughter to work just before 7. It never got near that all day yesterday.

Congratulations DD. I'm sure you will reap the benefits - although maybe not till it's over! We're all to support you through it image

Nice pavlova RB but the strawberries all fell off ... they were one of my 5 a day as well... imageimage

Hi BK - hope you enjoy using the forum. image

Off for a very quick look round before I go to work soon. Have a good day everyone

  • Thanks Woody & BM, my OH says I am going to be unbearable now and worse as the day gets nearer, I am a bit of a perfectionist and of course gardens just don't play that way.

However, the gardeners I have met have all been supportive & understanding so don't expect any nasty comments if it isn't perfect. The inspector who came actually commented what lovely warm people all the gardeners he has met were, he seems to think we are a breed apart in the nicest possible way.image

Dove, sounds like the perfect day out, enjoy. image

  • DD - take photos along the way - sometimes we're so involved with our gardens we just don't notice the improvement - but some photos of the changes and progression will boost your confidence no end ((hugs)) image

Good morning everyone, Beaus Mum, missed you glad you feeling better.

Dove sounds like you may be having the best day. It cold, dull and not at all calling me to go out, however do want to get the long border finished in prep for roses, problem is I have no idea when they will arrive

P doc do you find the light box good? Am thinking if getting one
