Fancy you having 33 degrees. I noticed GH was 29 when I opened it today, but it cooled down later because of clouds and strong breeze. Weather guy said they were expecting the ski fields to melt a bit this weekend, too, but since our wind came from that direction, you wouldn't think it was warm up there. They'll all be panicking about lost opportunities to ski on the news for the next week or so.
Hubby is back in bed, and I've given up with the TV. Talk about boring! There was an Irish guy floating around the river Shannon admiring wildlife and talking about seasons being wrong etc. He can't tell us gardeners about that stuff, can he? I think the background music was the killer more than his text.
Given up on the knitting too. I can't get used to being out there on my own. So, I'm in bed and probably not long for sleep. Depends on my novel and my eyelids. Goodnight everyone.
Sorry topbird, I meant to thank you for your advice as well. That's well worth keeping in mind. With A bit of luck, he'll be back on his feet tomorrow, but taking it slowly.
Back from farm shop - food put away - now wearing floaty frock and sunscreen - the lounger is out under the trees, but it's too hot out there ... 29.7C and risingin the shady corner where the breeze blows so goodness knows what it is in the sun ........ tomatoes and chillies are ripening, and the first ever bunches of grapes on our Boskoop Glory grapevine are turning black!!!!!!!
Crab salad for lunch
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

aw shucks Fairygirl.
Are coming onto me?
Stopped raining here, I didn't think it was ever going too.
the flowers are past soggy, now mouldy, so I will nip out between showers and dead head.
My daughter and family have gone to Blackpool for the weekend then on to York Moors camping!
cars just sprung a petrol leak 200.00 +vat for new one plus labour. not a happy bunny today.
Runny, I hope you will soon be better, can't have you out of action for long,
so, Dove, the way to a mans heart isn't always through the chest then, cooking works?
Lyn, your car or your daughter's?
Bad news either way.
See you in a couple of weeks.

.
Pat, sorry about OH and hope he recovers soon. Maybe he'll listen to you next time
.
Rb I hope you've found something nice, loose and floaty to wear. Any contact is agony, Really hope it's a fast recovery.
Yvie - good luck to OH for tomorrow. Will be thinking of you. Hope your dentist's fine is only £10, like ours.
Just watching the blue badge theft item on the news
.
on the news -

Hosta ...
Lyn - you stole my line about 'through the chest' to a man's heart. You normally add 'with a large blade' to the phrase as well though !
Naughty fairy
Cars are a necessary evil aren't they?
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Pat - we're only a small island - not 33 here, more like 15. Midges don''t seem to mind though

No floaty frocks here Dove. Even if it's sunny
Crab salad sounds good
Lesley - I always have a cunning plan
Doesn't mean I carry them out though
I heard that about the blue badges too. What the **** is wrong with people?
