Thanks Dove, just what the doctor ordered! Still in purple dressing gown mode, have sat on doorstep looking out at garden with cats watching the birds feeding.....bliss! Lovely hubby still snoozing, didn't DJ last night as there were more than enough people playing music, so we just joined in the party for a bit then came home, very busy party though! Birthday boy disappointed you didn't come Dove! image

Sorry Pat, yes she's called Shirly, we went to visit on Wednesday with flowers, she has plenty family around her, the gran children where there with brother and sister in laws and we are only down the road if needed, she's a lovely lady too, makes us all laugh.

    Morning all.

Groundhog day here, rain and high winds, but it is also raining with leaves, the Beech trees are shedding and there is a cascade filling the sky. They will all need clearing, to make brown gold.

How can you lie there and think of England

Aren't the beech leaves a wonderfu colour this year!  Between us and the city there's a main road lined either side with beeches and limes - it's been an absolute picture over the past week or so image

Hi lovely people. Managed to dodge the rain! Left early and back early. I'm not as daft as I look image

It's now 'fair to middlingly ' hellish out there. image

It was raining leaves at the reservoir too doc.  Very windy - worse coming back because it gets funnelled down between the two sets of hills. Saw the cormorants - first time this year - and Mr and Mrs Swan and a young 'un. Several merlins too - at a distance. Lovely image

Glad you had a good day Dove - I should have come with you for a trim. Is WW sleeping now? I'll whisper....image

You did nothing wrong Pat. I suspected Rose was a chancer but it's nice to be nice. God loves a trier....image

Goulash is on for tonight and lentil soup being made. A shower when I've had my cuppa, take daughter to a friend's house, and then I can put my feet up image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

We sat up matching a history of Bob Dylan which lasted until after midnight and then discovered it was only part one.  I hope Hubby set the recorder for the next episode. It's past my bedtime. imageimage Catch you all tomorrow. Good night!
